I know my doc told me-to stop them a month before....and begin my BC a week after surgery

oh, eek. I hope its not too serious. I have my surgery in 2 weeks and I am still on my BC. (When I was filling out the paperwork for my first appt with the surgeon, back in Dec, I was not on BC, and I just never updated it) =/
Do you know why you had to stop? is it the hormones or the fact that you are trying to swallow a pill? |

I'd email your nurse or give their office a call and ask them what they recommend. I wasn't on bc when I got banded, so I'm not sure what their regulations were.

Thanks,
I have read different things all over the internet. Some say its because it can cause blood clots, some say its because the pills will be hard to swallow, and others say their doctor said it didnt matter or didnt even mention it. I am going to call tomorrow morning, I am just hoping it doesnt make a difference. i dont want to postpone my surgery =[ |

it wont get postponed. u may have to find a different method for a bit though. no worries!
