3- At least 30 minutes of exercise 5 days a week.
4- Follow the lap band rules for protien and drinking during meals.
So I'm three weeks out on the year and here's how I'm doing...

1- Great on journaling during the weekdays, suck at it on the weekends.
2- Got the problem foods out; trying to keep them out.
3- Doing it, sore and tired, but doing it.
4- Following the rules.

Result: I had gained 5 pounds since November, and have lost 4 of them- YAY!

I'm commiting to my new years resolutions this year (thanks everyone, you had great ideas!!)

My resolutions(goals) for this year:

1. Eat slower!!!
2. Remind myself that I cannot eat like everyone else

Ah the bread is an evil one. Boss brought in Panera bagels again yesterday, but I won the battle!

1. Weigh myself once a week (yup habit of daily is batty lol)
2. Enjoy the health I have gained and the medications I have lost over the past 2 years
3. Exercise 30 minutes at least 5 days a week
4. Eat chocolate less often - and only dark chocolate when I do
Thanks for bumping this! I'd forgotten - honestly....

let's see
1. Doing well with it - now just weigh in on Tuesdays
2. Unfortunately I am back ON diabetes medication (which is causing weight gain - see doctor Friday - will update after that)
3. Woo hoo! I'm doing 30 minutes 5 days a week plus a little more
4. Yep - if I don't buy it I can't eat it!!! (heaven knows I will eat it if it's here lol)

I am actually UP weight-wise but with current exercise plan my waist is down 2 1/4 inches so not too shabby...working on the scale part daily.

I've crashed and burned the past 2 weeks. I've lost and gained the same pound since the first of the month, been very busy with work, wife's been sick, etc. Gotta get back in the groove....

Phil - sorry to hear about your struggles...but it's good we have a place (this thread) to come and talk about them. You WILL get back on track - take one day at a time...

I saw my doctor about my diabetes meds - he has decided to keep me on them for 6 more weeks (sigh) and then do bloodwork again...if the new blood tests don't show improvement then (finally) he will consider putting me on medication with a side effect that causes weight loss (hooray) versus the current medication I take that causes weight gain! (Avandia)....so that's it for now - I'm still exercising 5 days a week consistently and am losing inches even if the scale isn't moving due to the medication.
