I'm commiting to my new years resolutions this year (thanks everyone, you had great ideas!!)
My resolutions(goals) for this year: 1. Eat slower!!! 2. Remind myself that I cannot eat like everyone else 3. Exercise consistently. I want to bike, walk, or do an exercise tape 5 days a week4. Keep a daily journal of what I eat 5. Eliminate my "trigger" food: bread

I've crashed and burned the past 2 weeks. I've lost and gained the same pound since the first of the month, been very busy with work, wife's been sick, etc. Gotta get back in the groove....

Phil - sorry to hear about your struggles...but it's good we have a place (this thread) to come and talk about them. You WILL get back on track - take one day at a time...
I saw my doctor about my diabetes meds - he has decided to keep me on them for 6 more weeks (sigh) and then do bloodwork again...if the new blood tests don't show improvement then (finally) he will consider putting me on medication with a side effect that causes weight loss (hooray) versus the current medication I take that causes weight gain! (Avandia)....so that's it for now - I'm still exercising 5 days a week consistently and am losing inches even if the scale isn't moving due to the medication.
