Dr. Sidney Rohrscheib, Clinton, IL

Has anyone had Dr. Rohrscheib as a LapBand/Realize surgeon? I had my consultation w/ him last week and was very impressed that he took time to answer EVERY one of my lengthy list of questions. He is in Clinton, IL but is opening a surgery center in Champaign, IL as well.

I am a patient of Dr. R's in Champaign, going to be banded in March. Did you have your surgery? How has it gone? Do you live in Clinton or Champaign or?

I am not banded yet. I am self-pay and I hope to be able to afford it late this summer. My best friend from high school is being banded by Dr. Rorhscheib the first week of March - she is a lucky ducky.....her insurance pays almost everything!

I live near Effingham. What do you think of Dr. R.? Do you know anyone else who has been banded by him with good results? Are you having surgery in Champaign or Clinton?

Sorry for all the ?'s....I just want to make sure he is the right surgeon to choose.

Hi Amy,

I will be banded in Champaign. I really liked Dr. R, appreciated the way he discussed things with me, his approach, etc. I know one person personally who has been banded who had significantly more weight than me to lose (I'm just under 300); she has done great. One thing I really appreciated is that he recommends banding for almost all cases now. Is your friend being banded in Champaign or Clinton? I am also lucky in that my insurance will pay as well.
