Well it has happened, and much quicker than I thought it would. I have a surgery date set, Nov 10. Thats exactly two months away, TWO MONTHS:crying_laughter:. As soon as I got off the phone with the doctors office I was suddenly taken over by fluttering in my stomach and a dizzying feeling. All I could thinkg was, OMG this is really happening..I will soon be a part of the banded ones, YES! :elephant:
I am still a little aprehensive. I have yet to complete all of the appointments required to have surgery. I will have the sleep test later this month and I will be meeting with nutrition and psych next month. The secretary also booked my pre-op meeting with the doctor for Oct 26.
So I guess I have a question for everyone....should I be this excited already, even though there is still time for many things to go wrong?

Rachel, just making the decision is a really big step, so getting your date is very exciting. It's OK.

dont feel bad i had alot of feelings going into the surgery date. Some days it was like cool and then some days it was like can i really do this. Now that it has been done it is a learning experience every day and i must say it is a good one.I love food and it was hard to think of not eating a ton of food at every meal but it has really been easy if you follow your doc plan then as far as me i have not been hungry the main thing is to get your protein one for healing and another it fills you up and you dont have a desire for all the yuck things that we love good luck and get ready to be a bander.
