I'm set to have my surgery in Boise on Monday. I admit I am nervous. Any advice?

Patty, Good luck with your surgery and the best advice I can give you is to keep coming here and looking through all the posts. Be sure and sip sip sip your water afterwards. Keep us posted on how you do.

Best of luck during your surgery and I hope you have a speedy recovery. Although I didn't do so, a lot of people suggest that you bring pillow to hold against your tummy for the ride home.

Good luck! I just had surgery on Wednesday and am healing pretty quickly. My advice is to get up and moving ASAP. Just short little walks will help with gas and get your system moving.

Take care, and let us know how it goes!

Patty's probably in bandland as I type this! How cool is that! Yay Patty!

When you get home, focus on healing and as the others have said keep sipping your water and walking. Both will help speed up the recovery. You might see some weight gain if you dare get on the scales yet. Dont worry about that, you'll retain some fluids from the IV that will drop off quickly. Now's the time to rest and heal and not worry about weightloss.

Keep in touch and give a hollar if you need advice about stuff to eat while youre on the post-op diet.

*hugs*
Susan

Thank you all for your advice. Surgery went well and I am at home now trying to rest. I am sipping the water. Was a little dizzy today but that seems to have subsided. Now I need to sleep.
