So it has been a little over 4 months since my surgery and I have lost 38lbs. =) I have noticed the difference even in my stomach cause the incisions have all moved down about 2 inches. But now my stomach is getting saggy (before it was like hard fat) lol. I would like some suggestions for ab exercises. I hate doing crunches....I want to find something fun. I do have a pool so if anyone knows of pool exercises I'd love to hear about them! Any advice would be great. I'll be 23 on Tuesday so I am still "young" and I was told by my doctor that my skin will bounce back easier cause of my age. I just have to find a good exercise. And I want so bad to get rid of this tummy lol. Also, my arms are starting to get a little saggy. Ideas for that would be great. =)

Hey I'm 23 too, and my favorite ab exercise to do is reverse bed crunches! I know, ya don't like crunches, but these are a little different, and it won't take many to make you feel a difference.

It's easy, when I go to bed at night, and when I wake up in the morning, I grab the top of the bed with my hands for support, keep a straight knee, and lift my legs as high as I possibly can while keeping my legs straight! It really works your abs, and it's very quick. I started out only being able to do ten at a time, and now I can do 20. It really doesn't take very long to do at all, and it's a good way to get your heart pumping in the morning! You'll be able to feel it in your abs all day!

Truly, the best way to get a flat stomach is cardio cardio cardio.

its about burning the fat. Your stomach bulges mainly because of fat, not because your muscles are so out of shape.

And if your muscles ARE out of shape enough to cause a significant bulge, that means you have muscle separation which must be fixed via surgery and cannot be improved by exercise!

Good news too if you hate crunches and lying on your back to exercise. Its not event he most efficent way of strengthening your core! Pilates style things like planks and fitball workouts are way more effective and doing cardio like running really works your core too. So does strenght training - you need to stabilise while you do squats etc.

Listen to this lady---She knows what she is talking about. My doctor told me almost the exact same thing she just stated.

The one sure answer is, once you pick something you can enjoy, consistency. So, choose wisely, decide, then make certain that you establish a routine that you will follow through with. The results will eventually show, with patience. This advice comes from someone 61 yrs young whose love handles have been disappearing with my regular exercise.
PS, I have gone the cardio route, not too keen on all balancing.
