Michigan Support Groups??

Anyone in Michigan know where I can find a listing of support groups in Livingston or Washtenaw counties? Lansing would even be ok. I do not know where to start looking for them. Please let me know!

Cori.. there is a support group that meets in Lansing.. it's given by Sparrow Hospital.. I think you can go to Sparrow Hospital website and there might be a link to it there. It meets once a month.. I've gone to them.. they're very informative and the ones I attended have a dietitian that will be there. Both gastric bypass and lap band patients attend these. I go to my meetings in Owosso, (which is where I had my surgery).. but when my daughter was thinking about WLS I went with her to some of these meetings in Lansing. You might even be able to call Sparrow and they'll lead you in the right direction. Good luck.. (and by the way, if you do get to Lansing.. let me know.. I'd love to meet up with you).

Thank you Donna! I do think you mentioned it before to me but I didn't have a car then and now I do and I think it'll be easier for me to get to Lansing than Detroit even though I know more of the southeastern part of the state. I will definitely let you know if I head out there! I'd like to meet up with you too!
