I just saw a commercial

I was watching TNT and I looked up when I heard the lady saying that she kept eating and eating and tried diet pills. Then she went on to say that she tried the Lap Band system. It was just really weird. 7 months ago when I had my surgery hardly anyone knew what the Lap Band was now there are commercials. I think I have only seen a commercial for the bipass once, we will see if there are more commercials on the lap band.

I know in Dallas, I have seen several commercials. In fact, there was a 30 minute infomercial last weekend on one of the stations. I watched it and enjoyed hearing everyone who is going through the journey with me.

Leo (my husband) called me to view the t.v. he said it was the first lapband commercial he's ever seen. I saw it too. It was brief but informative. I'm glad there is a commercial. Maybe more lives will be saved as GB or DS may not be a choice for many.

I first saw the commercial last week, at 1 am, on I think what was TBS. The show that was playing was Americas Funniest Home Videos, if that helps. Anyway, I was telling P'nut that it was great they had a commercial but it sucked that it was only on that late. Then a few days later, I saw it on TNT as well (I rarely watch any other station, heh) and have seen it many times since then. Hopefully the commercials will generate lots of interest which will include search engine usage for help forums!

They show a lot of lap band commercials here in Houston. I have seen them for my Dr. and several others.

I live in Houston, too and there are a lot of lap band commercials. The night before my surgery, I was compulsively cleaning house and couldn't sleep and while mopping the kitchen, a lapband infomercial came on. I thought it was funny. These people on the infomercial made it out to be a much simpler process than I have experienced or I have heard anyone here express, but it was informative. They all said that they were back at work the next day and up and caring for small children - bull. Very few people have felt that good the next day, but whatever, I was still happy to see that it is becoming more "out there" for everyone to learn about.

I saw my first Lap-Band commercial here in NC just last night. It thrilled me to see it. A lady talked about her yo-yo dieting and trying to tame her hunger, which was represented in the commercial by a BIG male lion. She went on to talk about the lap-band, and her hunger was now represented by an average sized house cat. That was such an excellent representation of how my lap-band works for me!

I just keep catching the end of the commerical where they show the lapband and the inamed logo comes on.

I saw the first one this week too, weird hun?
the one I wateched had a woaman of decent size ( 14 or so) cheering how she tamed her hunger Lion ( in the commercial ) I was glad to see that it didnt promice instant or supernatral results.. and that her lion of hunder was tamed to a small house cat..

I saw the lion and cat commerical last week, but saw it again 2x yesterday. I am in Austin, TX and Dr. Spiegel out of houston airs infomericals all the time, but guess how I found my surgeon, Dr. Wright out of San Antonio??? There is a billboard by the American Insitute of Gastric Banding along the highway south of Austin.........go figure! I called them and they hooked me up with him.
