I am currently going through all the pre-op stuff--hope to be banded by Thanksgiving~! Can anyone recommend a protein shake that tastes decent...I am struggling with that part of the pre-op diet.

I order my favorite protein shakes on line from http://www.wlssupplies.com/shop/customer/

They have a great variety.

GNC also has a good selection.

I never cared much for the pre-made shakes. I found a yummy vanilla whey protein powder at a natural food market (specifically PCC in the Seattle area) that I love mixed with milk. For a little treat, sometimes I sqeeze a bit of chocolate syrup in it. I even drank this for breakfast long before I had ever heard of lapband.

I went after the carnation instant breakfast shakes.

Same here. The chocolate is yummy, and the vanilla can be whipped up with fruit. Tasty and more economical that high priced protien shakes, which, to their credit, DO have more protien in them. The protien shake phase doesn't last as long as it seems. Time flies when you are newly banded!

Oh, I found the pre-mixed CIBs gross gross gross. I mix the powder packets with 12 ounces of milk, rather than 8 (or 6 ounces milk for 1/2 packet) and it's much tastier. IMHO.

I went to bariatriceating.com and ordered the sampler pack. The only ones I HATED from it were the Lemonade, Iced Tea, and Mocha (but I hate coffee). My favorite is Fuzzy Navel by Syntrax, you can buy it at The Vitamin Shoppe, if you buy anything from them or GNC and you don't like the taste, keep the receipt and they will take it back.
