Hey susan~
I notice your ticker shows 10 days until banding - so you have a date and are ready to go? I want the whole scoop!!! I'm sure you probably have posted it but I haven't been on much lately.
Congrads on the date!!!

Jacqie, We missed you last night! We were asking each other where you were. Yes, I have a date on the 10th of Nov in Monterrey, Mexico with Dr. Zapata!!!! I am really excited. They got me in so fast it is still making my head spin. Before the next meeting I too will be banded!!!

Last night got fun for me when I hit the parking lot afterwards.

That kind of sounds terrible, but I should make an admission to folks that they often forget (or are unaware of). While inside the restaurant I couldn't see anyone (or anything) and because of the volume level in there I got dizzy. One of the side effects (for me) of visual impairement is that massed voices are very disorienting. This makes me somewhat unsocialble dinner company, so please forgive me if I ignored anyone.

IdaSusaneauty (that is pronounced Idasoosanooty) (and Pat) - I hope one day to actually see the well behaved doggies. From what the wifely said - they are charming looking, and they're manners were impecable.

All the best and see y'all at the next Idaho meeting thingamagig!

Dawg, Thanks, I am trying to get P'Nut to set up some play dates with the dogs. We will see how that goes. I will bring them again next time and maybe you will get a chance to see them better. Next meeting maybe. I will be a bandster by then!!!!

I was thinking about attend the dinner that night but my Thursday became full of turmoil. At 10 am I received a call that a very close friend had slipped into a coma a day after having an outpatient surgery done. She had been in a car accident about 3 years ago and was in ICU for 2 months and the in just the hospital for 3 more months. She is paralyzed from shoulders down. When her son called I was up to my neck with customers working on a new product, and all I could think about was getting to Lori @ St Lukes. I finally did get there around 2:00 and the doctor's were talking about her being on life support and about her living will. It broke my heart to see her just laying there again. SShe is now out of the coma but is having small seizures so they are working on that. She is aware of all that is going on and is on the road to recovery. We went bowling on Saturday night and on our way home my sis called and told me that my 16 year old cousin who lives in Salt Lake was in a car accident and did not make it. Our family is all here in the valley my aunt and her 2 kids are the only one's in Utah. My mom and grandma are on their way this morning to be with her and my uncle Jim will be going tomorrow. Depending on the day of the services I might fly down in the am and then home again that night. I also thought that maybe it would be better for me to fly down in a few weeks and stay a long weekend with my aunt since by then everyone will have gone home and she might welcome someone being with her then. It is just been a very overwhelming weekend. I have struggled with eating right since Thursday - I have done the liquid empty soft food thing again - ice cream, chips, candy and cookies. I finally had a decent dinner last night and am trying hard to stay on track today. I have been able to kept down the quanity but just bad choices - atleast I don't eat as much of that crap as I would have before my band. Hope all is well with everyone.....Hope to see you at the meeting on the 14th.

Jacqie, I am sorry to hear about your loss and your friend going through so much. Please know that you and your family as well as your friend will be in our prayers here. If there is anything we can do to help just say so.

WOW! your life has been in turmoil! I just wanted to say that you are in my thoughts and prayers! Life is so full of ups and downs. I will be praying for your friend who is a quadriplegic and her family. Just to let you know my father was a quad an lived 41 yrs wonderful years. IF you have any questions about it, feel free to ask me. I am so sorry to hear about your cousin. Sudden deaths are so hard. Never time to say anything you may have ever wanted to say. I will be keeping your Aunt in my prayers too. I think you are right about your aunt needed someone in a few weeks. Your family will know you are with them in heart and spirit if you do not make the service! Keep Strong! It is hard! as we like to comfort ourselves with food, an not the good choices we should make. Again I am thinking of you!
