My name is Amy, and I am banded *everyone shout in unison "HI AMY!"*

I was bande on July 10th, 2006 by Dr. Sanchez in Monterrey Mexico. It was a wonerful experience and one that I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get the band who is self-pay.

My highest weight was 372, my surgery weight was 349, and my goal weight is 130. I know I can do it.

I am married to a wonderful and supportive man, with two wonderful children, and look forward to living a healthy and long life as a skinny person.

Hey BigGirlPantiez, welcome!

Funny, let's do it. I'll bring the trailor so we have enough room to load the bags and gift wrapped boxes of the clothes we will be purchasing.

Hi Amy!

I am so glad to be here in a SAFE, supportive environment. Thanks for the heads up on the new site.

I was banded June 30th by Dr. Iwanicki and Dr. Rosen at the Wish Center in Illinois.

I am down 35 pounds and am THRILLED. I survived the pre op and immediate post op by listening to all of you "friendlies".

I am from the "dark side" as I am 50 years old.

I am happily married for 27 years to a guy who has been with me from a size 6to a size 24. Guess that's love.

Ok...I am going to organize a shopping trip for us all when we are all at goal. you must give me a bit of time to get there, but we are going. And we will bring JP. He can hold all of our purses.

I am so glad all of you are here!! You all rock, and you all make me laugh, cry, think, remember, and work hard every single day. I know that without this place I would be no where and nothing. Everyone here is my friend, and I am blessed indeed!!

Hi Funny or Amy, it's nice to meet you. Who did your surgery? Where did you get it done at? How much did it cost? Did you stay in a hotel? Was Mexico pretty? How long did it take you to get to Mexico? Is there an ocean in Mexico? Was your doctor cute? Was he tall or short?

hahahhhahahahahahhaha

OH! That's right, I was right there with you and had surgery just mins. before you. Had to aggravate you, hadn't got to talk to you lately. How's it going sista? Okay, I want some advice from you and everyone else. I had 2nd fill 1 month ago. Put me up to 2.25 in 4 cc band. He told me to come back in a month for another fill. I can eat bread, steak, anything. I have only lost 4 pounds in a month. Putting me at almost 40 pounds in 2 months since surgery. I think I need another fill but I don't want to be overfilled. Plus my TOM is just ending today, almost 7 days long, OMG, so I'm sure I'm down really about 6 or 7 in the last month. But I shouldn't be able to eat everything should I? Would you all get another fill. I have read everyone's numbers and I have more fill in my band that most anyone, I'm so confused and scared I'll do the wrong thing. Please, please, please, all of my dear friend help me.

Love ya Funny, miss talking to you. Okay, behave yourself this week and tell your irony husband that I said hi and Rick said tell him hi for him.

HUGS sherri I am good. We just got back in town from North Carolina. And now I am trying to get ready for another trip in two weeks.

As for the fill, it is not what you can eat, but how much you can eat. if you eat slow, how much do you eat before you are full? you do not want to be restricted as in "I can only get down liquids" but more restricted as in "if I eat slow i can eat about .5 to 1 cup and then I am full, and I do not get hungry between meals". Eating fast is the key....slow it own and you might find that you get full on less food, and that your weight starts dropping again. Also keep in mind that you just might be on a plateau, and that TOM has messed you up too. I would wait personally. average is 1-2 pounds a week, and you are on that now! Its best to go slow and steady rather than get too tight and get malnourished and dehydrated.
