I had looked through several of the threads and haven't seen an answer to this. I have been on diets where I eat 1500 calories a day. I then go boxing/kickboxing for an hr. There have been times when I didn't have enough energy to make it through and am nervous that that the surgery will not allow me to eat enough to make it through. After being banded, do you have enough energy to make it through an intense workout like an hr. of boxing/kickboxing or an exercise regimen that is similar? Walking is great, but doesn't get my heart rate up like boxing/kickboxing

I've got plenty of energy and I'm VERY active. 1500 is plenty. Of course, there's always times when you find a workout really hard some runs are like that for me. But I dont have any problem overall.
I eat carbs though. If there's one thing that makes me feel utter crap its not getting at least some cereal or grain into my daily intake. I dont eat a lot of it, and I definitely have a lower carb diet than I did have pre banding - you just dont need cereal for breakfast, cookies for morning tea, two slices of bread for lunch, a muesli bar in the afternoon and rice for dinner, but oatmeal or wholegrain toast for breakfast tends to see me through the day.
