Friday's Triple NSV

So, Friday night after work I had dinner plans with my crazy friends. I used to tour, some of my friends still do, so when they are finally home we go out and get a little crazy. Originally it was going to be Lugers for steaks, but we decided to stay local and go for sushi.

Thankfully, these are brutally honest people...so I got an honest answer about whether or not I look like I lost weight. That answer was no. I'm not upset about it, i'm just glad i'm not nuts.

So...on to the NSV's.

1. I'm looking for some nice comfy clothes to head out for sushi and well...strip joints. We're a simple bunch, drinks, naked women and good friends make for fun times. So I grab a pair of cargo pants and a nice long sleeve shirt (it's cold here). I throw on the shirt and stand up to pull up and button the pants and realize they are just HUGE. I go inside and grab an old pair of pants and try those on...they're on but just a little too tight for comfort. I go with the loose pants and a belt. NSV#1...WOOHOOO LOOSE PANTS!

2. Since the pants were loose, I went inside and grabbed some old shirts and tried them on....NSV #2...I have lost a shirt size.

3. This one is actually my favorite one. A friend of ours owns one of the local adult entertainment establishments. It's where I had one of my bachelor parties 3 years ago (long story as to why there was more then one), I've also been there a few times since. We have a long standing joke with one of the employees who carries handcuffs for some unknown reason, she knows us all very well from our continued patronage. So...I am alone with this young lady discussing politics, and she says,"sweetie you need new pants, this things are so loose I think I can get in them while you're still wearing them". NSV#3...someone noticed the weight loss.

See People do notice... Congratulations on the NSV isn't fun.... keep up the great work. Thanks for the compliments to me... Heading out to my first Seahawk game today... Little nerves about the seats but hubby says no problem... Again way to go 503~~~~~

Great NSV, 503! Don't be concerned about your friends not noticing. Guys are like that. You gotta' hit them upside the head before they notice stuff like that. It's just not on their radar. Now, if you had been a girl, they would have just automatically said yeah! WOW BABY!!!

And the other NSV's. Good for you. I love clothes NSV's. And save those pants. Someday down the road, take a picture of her in those pants with you. LOL!

Congatulations 503 cant wait to see a pic of you in your pants with that woman....ok well maybe you better put your wife in the pants with you instead to save an argument! WTG 503! Hysterical NSV - that last one -- and you know, the fact that you have shrunk out of those pants only goes to show....when we keep wearing baggy clothes people just can't see the difference - don't be afraid to wear smaller, just don't make yourself uncomfortable. Trust me, people WILL notice!

maybe it's time to go on a shopping spree eh? Show it off man!

Ohhh...I forgot....last year in Boise there was one of "those" kinda places that on one night a week they called it "art night." They had patrons come in and "sketch" the girls....so they could somehow say it was art and the girls could go completely nekkie. Sheesh.......

Great NSV's!!! I bet another reason the guys didn't notice is because they see you often. People that don't see you often are the ones that notice. Also, they are probably too busy checkin out the ladies.
P.S. I like strip clubs...I think they are fun...I go with DH sometimes.

Kiddin dude. remember, sometimes folks say they can't see it because they are jealous of the NEW attention you are garnering, and they are trying to downplay it. It is not a conscious thing, but it happens... especially from the same sex.

I appreciate all the supportive comments, but I am sure they are not jealous, these are guys who I have depended on to live, and they have depended on me. Lies and jealousy are long gone...we have a saying, "trust me with your money and your life but not your wife". It has nothing to do with this situation, but it cracks me up every time. I can count on these guys without a doubt...no matter what the situation.

Paul, I didn't ask in the strip joint, we discussed it at dinner when they were stunned by the lack of width and depth in my dinner order, and one of them said, "If that's all you eat you're really gonna start to lose weight soon". I told them I had lost 65lbs.

I think the problem is simple...500-65 is not the same effect as 250-65, precentage wise the difference is not as huge....i'm in a good place mentally...I just need to remember that i'm running a longer race so I can't expect to have the same finish times as those running half the race I am...LOL.

I think i'm going to go with the wife in one leg, I don't think she would appreciate the humor in seeing another girl in my pants...LOL.

I will have to agree that guys dont notice much.
On another guy, but on a woman, probably.
My husband lost about 30 lbs and his guy friends didnt notice, but the wives of the guy friends did.
That got my hackles up. grrrr....
