So it has been since Aug 31 (my lap band surgery) and on Nov. 3 I will be going in for a fill.. You can not understand (maybe you can) how scared I am. "FILLS ARE NOT THAT HARD" But with what I have been through.. I am a bit scared. But I am very excited too. My last band must of had something in there because I could eat less then even with the leak, then I can now... I am a COW now LOL I need this fill not only to help me with me eating but I travel through the boarder of NM and CO which can get very snowy... and Its been cold and snow in the mountians, so this is my last chance to get a fill until spring! So I am very EXCITED and SCARED at the same time. I know that is normal.... but I know for sure I will NOT, did I say WILL NOT!!!! get the numbing shot before my fill. ( I think the numbing stuff is what caused my infection (for thoes that know my story)) Well wish me luck!!!!!

My 1st fill with me new band... Oh yeah Im so starting over.. otherwise it would be like my 9th fill LMAO But THANKS for the luck... I am going to need it

Trish - don't worry about the numbing shot with the fill. I have had 3 fills, none with a numbing shot. My very first fill was given by the surgeon. I asked him about a numbing shot. He said "No way! Those hurt. What I'm going to do won't hurt." He was right. Nothing to it. Honest! The last one was a nurse that was in training and it was easy.:nod:
