A couple of weeks ago, I unpacked some of my winter clothes and was happy to see that they fit now and most were loose, but I can still wear them. It was fun.

BUT, today I found a box of those clothes that you keep carting around because they are 1) good clothes, and 2) you really really like them and keep thinking "some day." Well today was the day.

I found those clothes. For several years (at least 6), I haven't even bothered to open the box. When I did that this afternoon, and saw what was in them, my hands starting shaking and as I tried them on, I started to cry.

I know I am losing weight, and I see it in the mirror, but it's slow so it doesn't seem so dramatic. Trying on those old friends was very emotional.

That was a truly beautiful NSV, I wish I could have seen your face! You must have been so happy. I know exactly what you mean. Through my life I've had some lovely clothes that I would plan on wearing "when". You know I still remember some of them that went the way of Goodwill or to friends.

Congrats Stitchy! You are doing great....I know I had a big NSV yesterday. I will post it on my journey thread. Maybe we could meet sometime I am south of Seattle 40 miles....

Stitchy - I 'just' found a box of clothes too lol - winter wear - I have washed them and have yet to try them on. I said to my daughter, hmmm these might end up being too big for me as I held them up - mostly sweaters that have kept their shape pretty good but that were always a little bit baggy. I'll report back when I try them on lol

Congrats on your NSV! How awesome is that - finding old friends and finding they fit so well!

I haven't worn panty hose for a loooooong time now. I needed them for the *new* outfits. Punched a hole in one leg before I pulled them up! :wacko:

I wore one of the dresses to work today. First comment - Wow! You're all dressed up! Second comment - Skinny Minnie! :happy: :happy:

That is so great! Panyhose? I used to be such a contortionist to get into them. Then to get them to fit around my butt they would be so long I could tie them around my neck. It either been slacks or gowns for me when I am decked out. For work its been slacks and for play jeans. I can't wait till I have to wrestle with pantyhose once again!

I had a NSV today! I was working out at the gym with my trainer, I had just finished with a 90 min circuit training and I was stretching out when I said to Ryan " I wonder if I can sit crossed legged" ( Indian style) OH MY GOD!!!! I did it... I think that is the first time since I was a little girl that I have done it..
