Hi Guys i've been away for a bit from the site....was banded October 2, 2008. Im going for just my second fill tomorrow.I only have 1.5 ccs right now i my 10cc band. Its been kind of rough the last few weeks as i've had no restriction so im not really sure where i am as far as weight loss..I guess I'll know more tomorrow after my appointment. Hope everyone has been well and had a great christmas. I wish all my fellow bandster a happy and healthy new year too!

lol. Martha. I miss you guys. I think of all the support i received prior to getting banded and ever since i went back to work i have been juggling so much i haven't had much time for my bandster friends. My new yrs resolution is to be more faithful.lol.
I really an trying not to beat myself up too much for indulgin a little bit right now. Its the holidays and its normal as long as we don't go overboard.

Hey guys. Thanks for the warm reception. You guys are the best. So i went in for my fill today and according to the doctors scale i am down 5lbs! I was really surprised pleasantly i might add. people have been telling me i lost weight but i just didnt see it. So the fill went well. he only put in .5 ccs i was hoping for more but he doesn't want to over do it i guess. I'll do liquids today and see how i feel tomorrow. The baby's baptism is coming up feb 29 and im still in a 16W so we'll see how the next month goes but i have to start looking for a dress now or else i will never find anything in my size. I paid a fortune for my daughter's christening dress bc i waited to the last minute and i don't want to do that again. It says size 22 in that dress :( never again....hope everyone had a great christmas. We spent it mostly with family and friends. My daughter HAD to have a cupcake maker and now i make cupcakes for her every other day .oof who invented these things for kids!

Kris I am taking my son to Fla. for 7 days as his 8th grade grad trip.. I have been to Disneyworld b4.. Disneyland and Disneyworld are very similar... We are actually going to see Epcot and the Safari park..

Rini.. We are getting a full Vacation Package,.. Josh wants to stay at the music hotel.. We gave him his choice, and that is what he picks.. We will get the park hopper ticket for 7 days.. He also wants to do the water park that looks like snow..

oh good lord i don't have a clue. he has just been beggin us to come out forever- we could never afford it..he said his home is on the beach and is run like a hotel..with cooks and housekeeping that will even wash our clothes? sounds like my kinda place. watch him live in a 3 bedroom shack. hehehe.
nah..when he flies out to georgia..which is frequently...he is always in a Porsche or a convertible of some kind..and then last year..he asked if i knew a poor family that they could do Christmas for..a military family..and i found one..and u would not believe the stuff he got those sweet people..he even got plastic surgery for the kid with a cleft palate..
the mom asked for boobs..but he said no..LOL!

fla..its a motel for military cardholders..and a discount..they are neat and offered all over the world...when ed was deployed the 2nd time..i was preggers with kay and we went to orlando--i drove from campbell, ky. to orlando..8 months pregnant to make my 4 year old have a happy birthday without his daddy. he was having a hard time....i got into seaworld free and so did my 4 year old...and epcott...and bush gardens...disney would not offer us anything but 5 bucks off....not that i am complaining..we had an AMAZING time!!! we just didnt go to disney. i went to disney in fla like 100 times when i was a kid..my dad is a huge park (any park)fan...but my kids have never been.

ahhh...the flights are outrageous....it would cost us close to 6 grand to fly to georgia from here..so we just dont go home. i drove it once when ed was deployed the 3rd time..it took me 3 days...and 29 hours. but i actually really enjoyed my trip with the kids..we drove through oklahoma..which i loved..and i saw the site of the OCbombing...and i loved the windthings..julzs hubby builds them...there were thousands on the way there...i wanted to run through the fields!!! and we went through texas first..i have been all over texas..but never the top part..and i dont think there was any part of texas i didnt like..except maybe the beach at galvaston.
and then we went through memphis and stayed with my brother and his Xwife in a ten story apartment building with a guy in the elevator..all the time..and a pool on the roof overlooking the drug deals on the corners..and then back to familiar ground with mississippi, and alabama and then home...on the way home i went straight through kansas. ever see a sign that says...get gas now..next station 111 miles ahead. do it.
i saw a naked man in kansas too.

No it is pretty painful.. Pregnancy was a breeze compared to this.. the Dr's words to my DH were" I had to rip apart her muscles and shove the expanders in".. I feel like I have deflated footballs in my chest.. They are stretching out the muscle and skin.. It sucks..I can't sleep in my bed, because I have to sleep on my back with my arms at my sides.. for at least another 4 days.. I tried to sleep in bed last night and it didn't work..

Disney does at times offer military discounts, we were back in Los Angeles this summer and Andra was free. You have to check with them.. The Busch Company is still offering free tickets to their parks - you have the check the website. This fall we went to a park in VA for free. There is so much to do in the LA - I sure do miss living in Los Angeles. I wish we were back there but the military PCS'd us here. Let me know when you are going, we go there every summer for about 2-3 weeks.

OMG I go to sea world ( a busch park) and cry when I see the letters on the hero walk.. Disney is the most expensive park.. We also have Knotts berry farm, great rides.. Has Camp Snoopy for the little ones.. Our Zoo's are fabulous, we also have a a wild animal park that you walk through or can rent segways.. There is so much to do besides Disney..

Hey guys how is everyone. I'm doing fine. Superbusy as usual....don't mean to sound like a broken record...haven't had another fill yet so im still at 2.0 ccs. I feel pretty good although my restriction could be better but i just haven't had time to get another fill. My last one was dec 30. Everyone says i lost weight but i can't tell mostly. My sons christening is at the end of the month and i still haven't gotten a dress...will do that this weekend. Actually come to think of it i recently fit into this Tahari pant suit that i bought 2 years ago before i had my son which is a size 14W and it fit and i closed the zipper and button the buttons last week. so that was a major NSV for me. I specifically recall that suit NOT fitting AT ALL in the summer. I am really happy right now with the way things are progressing...i have some bad days here or there but for the most part following the bandster rules.

Hey girlie. I'm at work today but things are kind of slow right now for a change. its a long weekend for many bc we still get lincolns birthday off so many take friday too and make it a five day weekend. we're off monday too. yipee. My son's christening is coming up on the 28th. two more weeks to go! I'm really excited and axious to be done with it. I need to start saving some money for my trip to greece this summer for my sisters wedding.wooo hooo.
As for my band..i'm losing very slowly. I need another fill really bad. My last fill was dec 30. but i can't get another appointment until march 3. so im struggling on my own. I'm still wearing a 16w comfortably so i dropped some opunds maybe five at most since my last fill but as long as the scale goes down im happy. Sometimes its hard to gauge how im doing because i fell that im still eating too much. for example last night i made steak and rice and salad for dinner. i was able to eat the whole steak average size, and half a cup of rice and a few forkfuls of salad. it wasn't until i was done that i felt any restriction.ugh. so that's how i know i need another fill. that's not normal. i shouldnt be able to eat that much...i worry that im going to undue and weight loss by the time i get to my next fill 3 weeks from now. this is a pain in my you know what. that is the worst part of it all the slow fills...i feel great but i could be better. i will try to post some before and after pics so that way i can also see the difference. I also need to start exercising. My efforts with the Wii have ended as i can not motivate myself inthe house to exercise with the kids running around and frankly i am aso tired i dont feel like it at 9pm which is when i finally get to relax. Anyway that's my story for now. I'll keep plugging away and hopefully by the summer i can get back into a regular 16 or a 14 if im lucky. :)

Rini, As long as you're not gaining you are rockin!!! I know that my weight loss has been super slow, but I've had a couple of setbacks that kept me from getting fills. My suggestion to you is to set up another appointment while you are in the Dr office in March, for 3 weeks later. That way it's there and if you don't need it you can always cancel. Right now i am setting up my fills for every 2 weeks cause we are going real slow with the fills. I don't want any more agressive fills. Slow is better for me. I am so thankful for my calendar on my phone. It sure make everything easier....I set all my appts. up and my phone rings to remind me... AHHHH technology... Have a blessed weekend.

i def. have restriction. if i am ever stressed or upset, or right before my period...i cant even eat. but i dont think i am too tight, cause for lunch and in the evening i can eat 4-5 ounces of solid protein. kristina is at her sweet spot..maybe? LOL! who knows? i dont think i will ever know. all i know is that i can barely eat...i am working out...getting in my protein, and the weight is just fluctuating back and forth...i am losing now..but afraid to say it..afraid it will come back...u know how it is...
