Hello,
I'm hoping that all the November bansters will join the group so we can compare notes. I'll start:
My name is Tracy and I was banded on Nov. 20th. I have 3 boys and I'm finishing my teaching degree. My banding story happened really quick. My DH told me about a friend of his whose wife had the surgery and their insurance (same as ours) paid 100% of it. He asked if I was at all interested (very delicately of course) and I started doing the research. I finally called for information at a nearby physician and they made an appt for me on June 18, 2008. Insurance did pay 100%, and that day I started nutrition classes. With in 2 weeks I had all of my classes done and had lost enough for my letter to insurance. Everything else went smooth and I was scheduled for surgery on Oct. 9. Then 2 weeks before, I had a dr. visit and mentioned I thought I had Sleep Apnea. That put a stop to everything. Went for my sleep study and got a wonderful Cpap machine and was rescheduled for the 20th of Nov. I'm feeling pretty good today and actually snuck out for a quick drive to do some Christmas Shopping.
Can't wait to meet other November Bandsters.
