My 14 yr old son spent the night at a friends house on friday and when I picked him up he was raving about the game Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) and told me that for christmas he wanted DDR for our X-box. He looked up prices and everything and I was thinking that I would definately get it for him for christmas. Today, I decided that I was going to take the kids to the mall because we just hung out at home yesterday and I am usually busy every weekend except this one. He brought 2 x-box games to trade at the store Game Craze. They trade and sell preowned games and systems. Low and behold we found a DDR mat, then a couple of boxes over was the game pack, preowned. The game pack with 1 mat was $40 and the extra mat was $20. That was a bargan compaired to the prices I saw when he was looking it up online.
As soon as we got it home he hooked it up and got me to play against him. I planned on playing it anyway, but I didn't think I would be doing it so soon. He and I battled for at least a half an hour or more and by the time I was ready to let one of my other 2 kids have a go, I was sweating my butt off. It was great. I was working out and having a ball. I was so bad at it, but got a little better once I understood when I was supposed to tap the square. It was fun and I highly reccomend it, LOL. :bounce:

We love DDR here at out house, it is a great way to exercise and get that heart rate going! I am going to get it for a friend of mine for Christmas, well worth theinvestment and it is a fun family activity, I have 3 boys all teenagers and we love to do it together we laugh and have so much fun while getting a great work out!

The funny thing is that I didn't know my son would want a dance game, LOL.

Maybe ya'll can help me because we don't have X-box or ANY TV/video games. We have the computer and 2 game boys (kids are 7 and 3) and that's all we plan on getting. Ya'll can laugh when we change our minds later on! LOL So do you know of some type of DDR type game you can hook up to the TV without getting the whole X-box system?

I would love to try that. I think the kids would love it too. Great for coordination, and fun exercise!
