Okay, is it normal to gain 3 lbs at one point after being banded? I am 2 1/2 weeks out...at first I was dehydrated...then I added more water...then I figured I wasn't losing at all and added calories (350 a day was not enough)...so I get on the scale this afternoon (okay i usually weigh myself in the am) but OMG I was up 3 lbs.....can it be water weight??? Aaagghhh!!! I want to shoot myself! I need to find the "happy medium" here. I do need to up my activity level...TOM water shouldn't be showing for another week yet....aaaghhhhh!

It's normal...it's usual and be kind to yourself, it's perfectly acceptable! Your body is getting used to a pretty dramatic change and your weight loss can go up and down quite a bit in the beginning. You aren't doing anything wrong so don't worry. Keep doing what you are doing and when you feel like you can, get moving- walking is good.
Apart from that...well done on getting your band and welcome to lapband life!

Ahh...thank you for your response....just checked the scale again....all back to normal...yay! What a panic I was in. I guess time of weight, weight of clothes and full bladder/bowels probably made a difference too. Or maybe I just plain worried the pounds off last night...LOL.
Glad to know these things are normal...thanks again for your support!!!
Take care,
Barb

Just give it some time, it will all even out. I agree your body is trying to adjust. Don't forget it needs protein and water. Not to worry about the weight right now. Just be happy and heal! Congrats on being banded!!!!
I gotta chuckle though when I read you wanted a "happy medium". One look at your avatar and I can see you already are a happy medium!
Seriously, be kind to yourself, you need to heal. And a big hug along with a big welcome to the band!!!!
