After all the talk of everyone doing gym and working their butts off, I decided to finally take the plunge. I had an appointment today with a personal trainer and he devised a program for me....half cardio and half weights. I was totally buggered by the end of it, but I felt great...awesome actually. Why didnt anyone ever tell me how good it feels :)I must admit when he had me doing crunches I was a little worried because of my TT, even though it wa 8 mths ago, I certainly felt it pulling. He told me just to take it at my own pace and to stop if it hurts. He did all the measurements and what not and my body fat % was 34. I know that still high but not too bad considering it was off the scales 18 mths ago.I am really happy with myself today and I feel a renewed sense of motivation.

Woohoo!!! That is great Kel!
I need to get my butt back to the gym... I am meeting with a trainer in 2 weeks. I am waiting on the female trainer, I don't feel comfy with a guy.
So proud of you!

Nice Kel :) It is kind of amusing how most people hate to exercise but you do indeed feel good afterwards. Silly hormones anyway right?

Kelliebelly that's so awesome! I'm proud of you. Keep going and don't stop. You'll be shocked at yourself in another month. The results will be amazing.

Good job Kel! This is one of those things that confuse me the most. We look and feel so good when we exercise but it's one of those things we resist doing. Humans.. geesh.
Be sure to take some good before shots to show us how much the workouts improve ya!
*hugs*

Just an FYI- I had a female personal trainer but after about 6 sessions with her I decided to go to the male PT. He suits my needs better. He listens to me . My biggest thing with the female was that I needed to work on my upper body she wanted me to work my lower body. Well I can cover my lower body but what if I want to wear tank tops..............

Good for you Kel, you'll find its exactly what you need to get yourself to your final goal weight. And its really awesome working out when you're not trying to budge 40kg of extra fat, you see results pretty quickly and it really does make a difference.
I really really need to get back into the gym. I am too focussed on running and have to remember that yes, I have cardiovascular fitness, but really I'm just working the same set of muscles and I really could benefit from some weights and cross training.

Fantastic Kel, can't wait to hear you reporting fantastic results. I must admit, all the exercise talk is making me guilty and motivated to move. I have the band now, and am feeling god again, so time for me to shift it too...
...now get down and give me 25 on your toes! Move it! Move it! Move it! :heh:
