Can anyone give me any sort of input good or bad on a Dr. Jose Rodriguez from Acuna and Monterrey Mexico. He has several different plans that range from $7300 to $9500. I got an email from them and said that they have a company that finances even those that no one else will finance.

Teresa, didn't you get info from Amy about Dr. Sanchez in Monterey? She told me that she sent you a PM with the info you needed. Did you not get it or did you already contact their offices?
Sanchez and Rumbaut are the only two Docs in that "region" that I've only heard good things about. If you can work something out with them, that's what I'd suggest you do.

Susan,
I did contact them and they told me they only finance through companies I contacted them and it was a no approval. I happened onto this other website at work while gettin some information for my newly banded patients so I brought it home and got on line and they emailed me with the information that I posted here.(well posted some of it) Told Tricia last night all I can do is keep prayin and working on things and let God have it all. If its his will then it will be if not I will just keep waiting and waiting and waiting until its time! *Smiles*

Aww Teresa *hugs*
I know how much you want and need the band. From our many conversations over this past year, you have become one of the people whom I have placed on our list of candidates for a b2g Scholarship. I have no idea how long it will take to get everything ready for that kind of thing tho. We have to meet with laywers and get incorporated before we can begin taking donations. Then, of course, the Board of Directors will be screening candidates and selecting recepients. There will be things the Board will need from you as part of the selection process as well.
Anyway, I tell you this not as a promise of anything, but as a glimer of hope.
In the meantime, start taking care of you! Take small steps to start getting yourself in better shape for surgery. Consider today the first day of your journey. You'll be surprised at how motivating and rewarding that type of mindset can be -- both physically and mentally. And if you come up with a way to be banded prior to anything b2g can do, then please do -- as long as it's with a GOOD doctor!! :P
I love ya girl. We'll keep ya posted as things progress.

Teresa - have you tried Inamed? We send a lot of patients through them. They have finance options. I have heard good things. How about a home equity if you own or are buying your home?
Good Luck girl. All things happen for a reason we may not understand at first but one day we figure it out. Hang in there and like Susan said start with baby steps...some is better then nothing.

Kim, Thanks for the input on Inamed. I had no idea that they had financing options also. I will have to do that. Ya know I even went to an all day seminar last year with them and a few other nurses that I use to work with.(all are gone but me now) and that was never mentioned either. I will also let the bariatric coordinator know about this option as well. Wish I did have a home....unfortunately I rent. Oh well, thats ok too. As we all have said things happen for a reason and I will patiently wait til its my turn! Thanks again!
Susan, Thanks again for always being there for me. LOL and to think our friendship started by you asking me a question on the other board...lol my oh my what a long time ago that was. Ya also know how much I appreciate your support thru this entire process and with my name on the list. *big hugs*

Hey Teresa,
The number for inamed is 1-877-lap-band (option 4) here is the catch...your doctor has to be signed up to particpate with them. We did it here at work and if free for the doc to do so they should do it if they aren't. It's great I give it out all the time.
(I wasn't at work when I posted yesterday so I couldn't remember the number off the top of my head. I am blonde. hehe)
Isn't Susan great!!!! She is so sweet and caring.
