For all of you who have arrived at b2g while I was out having a wonderful time with some of our members on a more personal level...

WELCOME to b2g! I'm so happy you found us, and I'm certain that you'll all be feeling right at home in no time at all (if you haven't already done so). This message board is far more than just a place for posting messages. It is home to many people (banded and unbanded) who have found an excellent source of lapband support and education while becoming as close (if not closer) than family.

For those of you who are newly banded or just researching the lapband, be sure to check out the Helpful Information for New Members Forum. There are some wonderful threads in there that will give you a very good foundation for understanding the lapband and the banded way of life.

We have members from all over the world. To find friends in your local area, check out the Local Support Forum.

We will be having live chats with medical, nutritional, and fitness professionals, so keep an eye on the announcements at the top of every page for those events.

Again, a warm welcome to each of you. I'm sorry I haven't had the time to post more personal welcomes but I do hope to get to know each of you over time.

All my best,
Susan

Hey Shackdog :) Thanks for letting people know about the local support group meetings in your area (which happens to be my area too). New b2g members should check out the Local Support forums for info like this in your area. Support on b2g is awesome, but having bandster friends that you can walk with or meet with on a regular basis is invaluable. If there aren't any folks posting in your area/region/state, then post something to let people know you're there and would like to get something started on a local level. You won't regret it!
