Had a NSV today :) We went to a polka festival in our little small village of about 300 to 500 (if that many) people, it was held at the ZCBJ Hall.. they had the traditional Czech food with chicken, giblets and rice, dressing, cukes in sour cream, cole slaw.. Kolachy and this sweet bread (I can never remember the name of).. the tables were set close together.. and guess what?????? I DIDN'T HAVE TO TURN SIDEWAYS TO GET THROUGH!!! OMG!! I thought I was gonna die and I kept finding an excuse to get up and get something so I could go back and forth between the chairs.. :) Tooooooooo funny isn't it ????? lol

:) Ohhhh how I love my lap band!!

I double posted this.. in my thread and in here.. this was so exciting for me.. never thought I'd feel this way about this!!

Great NSV Donna! It's so wonderful to fit in places we didn't fit before. The bathroom stalls at work is a place I find my self amazed at fitting into better. TMI but it's true. Thanks for sharing your achievement! Good for you!

Yep you guys... it sure is amazing to feel 'smaller' :) I noticed the bathroom stalls are a little bigger too.. but the chair isle was something else.. lol

Bear.. I LOVE to polka, but not with my hubby.. he hangs on my hand too tight, and he tends to jump too much (years of being in a marching band).. lol So I protect my feet.. lol

Actually his Aunt Donna taught me how to dance the Shoddish.. Ohhh how live that dance. She's the special aunt I talk about that taught me how to can pickles, bake cinnamon rolls, and lots of other things, and now she has Alzhiemers .. so sad too.

But yep.. when I can.. I polka :)

Did someone say polka? :) You just caught my attention! Congrats on the NSV and I love how excited you are about it.

I am 3/4 Czech and the small community I am from is mainly a bunch of good 'ol Bohemians. There is no better workout than a good polka dance. It is so much fun!
You brought a smile to my face reading about your NSV! Way to go!

I LOVE to Polka. I used to go to dances when I was younger. And once had a boyfriend that went and I learned the shoddish then. DH doesn't dance and especially doesn't Polka.\

Anyway, congrats oh the NSV. Mo said it right, "if it wasn't for these NSVs I don't think we would really realize that we ARE shrinking!!!!"
