28 weeks appointment

I went for my 28 weeks appointment yesterday and took my glucose fasting test. Results will be available early next week. I was surprised that the stuff didn't taste too bad...almost like an orange Fanta.

Anyway, I'm measuring exactly where I should be. We scheduled my c-section with the hospital - - it remained as my OB expected - - September 29th @ 7:30am.

I go every 2 weeks for my next 3 visits and then every week from that point on. I'm getting excited!

P.S. I've gained 12 pounds so far...not too shabby!

AWWWW your doing fantastic. Now that your getting closer and your c-sect has a definite schedule...it will fly by. You are gonna make such a WONDERFUL MOMMA!

Oh Tricia, how exciting!. How is the foot doing? 12 lbs. That is great! I had two by c-section..I think c is the way to go! Of course I have no way to compare.

We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of our granddaughter any day. Our daughter in-law is sure it will be today or tomorrow! FULL MOON!!!
Tomorrow is our youngest sons BD ( 23 ) He is hoping for a BD gift as will. But after the drag race he is going too!!! LOL

Woo hoo on the blood glucose numbers -- and 12 lbs gained? wow girl you must still be on your feet constantly even with one of them broken!!! Congrats - truly - I am amazed at how fast time is going by -- unbelievable that you are at 28 weeks. So did you post a new pic of that little bump of yours on the other thread?

Thanks, Mo. I am on my feet most of the day, which is good. Working in printing requires me to be constantly on the move.

Wow - I just cannot believe how quickly your due date is approaching! 12 pounds is GREAT, and actually probably right on target with what they want you to gain since you will gain weight more quickly towards the end. You have been a model bandster, and now you are a model prego mommy. :) Congrats!

that's great news on the test - my sis had gestational diabetes and it was not fun! Hope your foot isn't giving you too much trouble and congrats on the super healthy weight gain!!

wow. if i could only gain 12 lbs in my pregnancies i would have a 3rd after getting banded. I had two c sections i'm happy i had them after hearing some very intense labor stories from friends...my only problem is that pouch that just sits there from the destroyed muscles....i need a TT. :)

Rin, I really am grateful for the band during my pregnancy. I'm still sitting with 2cc in my 4cc band and even though I'm able to eat more now, it's not taking its toll on me. The baby is getting what he needs and I'm not suffering with extreme weight gain. BTW, I have a lovely flap and will eventually need a TT...but, will wait until after I'm 40 and we're done with having any more children. We're not necessarily going to try again, but we're not going to prevent for the next 3 years.

She is Actually a hawiaan Tropics Best Dressed Queen and a Gold coast pageants bathing beauty queen.. We entered 2 pageants she swept them both.. Then I thought what the Hell am I teaching her.. That you don't have to work for awards, just be pretty.. Ugh.. that was stupid...She does tap, ballet and Jazz.. Will start karate with her brother in September.. And will be back in Tumbling by Nov.. We have to keep her away from other under 6 yr old kids til I am done with treatments..

That's cool...but, I'm glad you came to your senses about pageants. I'm not a supporter of them, to say the least. Now, dance lessons are another story. I think it's great to expose your children to dance, art, music, sports, etc. So, she's going to take karate with her brother? That's cool.

Her brother has gone through 1o belts so far.. he has 1 more, than after than he will be a black belt.. He competes at a national and world level.. How cool is that... I have to scan his new pic in and will post it on a thread I am starting.. Oh did I mention he is only 12 .. Will be 13 the end of September..
