Who would have thought that NOT having to go clothes shopping for a special occason would be a good thing?
Lol, we have a formal dinner next Friday night (a boring franchisee award night for DH's work). As an exec. he's expected to attend but its dead boring and it always costs us about $500 for dinner suit hire for DH and for me to find something, anything to wear.
This year, I have two dresses hanging in the cupboard which would be fine. Every single other year (we didnt go last year, lol) its been tears, tantrums and fits over not being able to find anything designed for anyone under 70 that would fit me. Then a fortune on makeup/hair/spray tan/nails/pedicure because I looked so dumpy that I was obsessed with these things.
Oh, I'll still get all that stuff, that's nice to do anyway. But I dont "need" it like I did. But to just pick a dress out of the cupboard to wear, with no stress, no hassle, no having to buy special sucking in girdles or whatever, whoever thought I'd be celebrating NOT shopping?
