Hi Everyone, I just saw my surgeon this past week. I lost 2lbs in the last month, but lost 8 inches as a result of starting a new weight training program. I love it. My doc was pleased reminding me that muscle weights 7 times as much as fat. Once we build it, it allows us to burn more caloreis throughout the day, even while sleeping. I'm having my third fill on July 14th. My doc and I have agreed we will do small fills every six-8 weeks. This seems to give me the restriction I need and I continue to lose weight.

My program is one for weight loss and menopause! I'm not at menopause yet, but I'm not that far away. I lift weights on Mondays and Fridays. Here is how it goes:

Monday-Chest/Shoulders/quads/hamstrings/aerobics. I do ten minutes on an indoor cycle between each group of muscles.
Tuesday-Aerobics 1 hour- in my case indoor cycling
Wednesday- rest
Thursday-Aerobics 1 hour
Friday -back/biceps/triceps/calves/abs/aerobics
Saturday- rest
Sunday- one hour of aerobics.

There are many other good programs in the book. The Title is Total Strength Training for Women. Author Amazin Lethi

I better get to lifting weights then. Sounds like a great plan.

Hi Bgrand, It's made a major difference for me. It takes a few months to really see the benefits in terms of weight loss and metabolism. Thankfully the visual results arrive sooner.

Lift, lift and rest, rest for the right results! That with an hour of cardio at least four days a week seems to be the ticket for me.
