I have my band filled to 4cc (10cc VG band) and I have NO restriction. I go in today to have my second fill done under flouro. I am really nervous, worried that something will go wrong and i will not get a fill, or maybe my lack of restriction is from a leak. too much to think about. But I will still.

I am having it done with Dr. Jessee. She is supposed to be one of the sweetest doctors in Florida, so I am happy about that. Wish me luck!!!

Let us know how it goes! I get my second fill on the 19th. I am really looking forward to it since the first one was useless. I am not looking forward to the actual fill as it was pretty gross I thought..had first one under floro..

Good luck!

First off....WELCOME BACK!!!!! How dare you traipse off half way across the country like that - and have fun no less!!! Humpf!

You will be fine today, for some reason I thought your appt was on the 5th. Cathy is like you right now, wide open. Her next fill is the 16th - Dr. Jessee is taking a vacation (another one leaving to have fun!). Let us know what you think of her, she's doing you next door at the hospital under flouro correct? Cathy says that it was the coolest thing to watch, you can actually see the restriction based on what can drip by the band.

I'm sure that everything will be fine, your last experience is still fresh in your mind. She is NOTHING like Dr. Grossbard - I promise. With your exercise regime, and your new diet (buttershots) this fill will have you dropping lbs in no time!! We missed you here - pictures looked great!! (way way too much fun - shame on all of you)

I'm at about 9cc in a 10cc VG band...remember there is no magic number...we are all individuals.

You are a special individual and your number is special to you...just like you are special to us.

Hope you are doing well....please keep us up to date.

Hope everything went great Funny. Please let me know. I have had my 3rd one and I'm as tight as a never mind, that wasn't nice. But, none the less am very tight. I'm at 2.65 in the 4cc band and unless something changes will probably be my last for a while. I'm so close to that 50 pound mark it's scary. Can you believe we're getting close to being banded 3 months. It has flown by. I'm going on the 28th of this month to the biatric thing in Lexington. Dr. Curry sent me an emal it's 2 days long and he's speaking. I just love him. He is wonderful. I'll let you know what all good stuff goes on. They are doing the meals and prizes and lectures and all kinds of good stuff.

Happy losing.

I went in and had it done. What a great experience!! She had me get on the flouro board, and they tilted it back a bit. Then she turned it on to see where the port was. IT'S NOT TILTED!!! She thinks that it was tilted right after dr. grossbard poked around in my tummy, but laid back to normal after that. So she stuck the needle in, pulled all 4cc's out (actually 3.9cc) then grabbed a different syringe and injected saline back in. I thought it was cool that she does not use the same fluid. Then she turned on the flouro, had me take a big sip of barium, and then took out .3cc's to get it to flow how she liked it. Voila! All done. Took all of about 5 minutes. And she was so nice! And very gentle. I can't wait for the support group meeting on Thursday, and if this fill is not enough for me then i am def going back to her.

Congrats!! You weren't tilted- unbelievable, what an ass. Thank god you didn't rush back to Monterrey, that would have been such a waste!! I'm glad that you liked Dr. Jessee, she's expensive - but she seems to be the best around here.

Now we can all stop worrying about you!!
