Went bra shopping today

I'm now a 14(36)E. How the heck do your boobs get bigger when you lose weight? Last time I was this weight I was a 16(38)D.

Trouble is everything vaguely un-nanna-ish stops at a C or D cup :mad: 14E is very hard to get. Luckily I found ones I had been eyeing on line in a specialty bra shop, tried them on and bought them but know I can more of the same style online without worrying about the fit being wrong etc.

But I'm seriously considering a small breast reduction after I get to goal. Maybe they'll shrink in the next 10kg and by no means do I have huge boobies now, they're quite OK for my frame, which is very tall. But I'd just love to be a D cup, it would be so much easier. They can do such reductions by lipo so you dont have the scarring, and I have one boob about 1/2 a cup size bigger than the other anyway so could even that out and they EVEN say you get about a 10cm lift effect as the skin shrinks back too.

Wow, thats too funny that yours got BIGGER....hehehe I am glad mine shrunk a little bit, but not too much. I think I like that I am in a 36 instead of a 38/40 even better than going from an E to a D. But if yours keep growing as you lose weight a small breast reduction may not be so bad. Just don't get 'em too small :happy:

On the Oprah bra show, they said most women get the cup size too small and the band size too big. The bra is supposed to hold you up from AROUND, not from over the shoulders. So a good fitting bra would mean you are smaller in the bra band, and larger in the cup. Your weight loss has got you into a better fitting bra! Yay!

I'm finding my D cups (finally) to be a tad on the big side. They are a *little* saggy at the top, which tells me I need a new style that lifts better. I went from a 40 to a 38. If I can get rid of some back fat, I'm thinking I'll end up in a 36C. Here's hoping!

Goodness I shrank in that department. I went from a 38D to a 34B and smaller now as my bra has more space in it. I refuse to buy smaller. I don't want to lose anymore. Is an augmentation in the works?

My husband has it. His is shrinking I've noticed. Last week he was 251lbs, today he is 235lbs. I can't believe how fast men lose weight. So yeah..back to the topic, your bewbies will shrink.

there were women on oprah that wore an A cup that found out they wore a C cup. I wear a C cup so I was thinking..hmmmm.. I must be like a DD or something cause I'm bigger then they are!!!

Yeah, that Oprah show has been on here twice, it was what made me go and get professionally fitted. I was always wearing too big back/too small cup.

But 14E is a really hard size to find and it definitely doesnt exist in all the pretty/trendy stuff, waaah.

If you lose weight, but not off your boobs, your band size will obviously go down. Your cup size (on a smaller band) goes up one or two sizes, as the cup sizes are proportional to the band sizes.

For example, a 20B bra is equivalent to an 18C with an extender.

When I lost weight in my 20's, I got down to a size 34DD bra. There are no 34DD cute bras - or, at least there weren't then. Maybe there are now. I'm almost in a 36DD now, so I certainly hope they've improved.

Regardless of the size of my boobs it just feels sooo good not to have all that nasty back fat which caused me to be in a 40 preband. I had some 38's but it squeezed all my fat rolls together and just plain hurt. I don't really see much of a difference in the cup size but my boyfriend says there is quite a bit less fat. People at work think my boobs have grown just b/c I look much more proportioned now instead of like looking like an easter egg before. I had so much fat in my belly and back that nobody noticed my boobs!! Now ppl think I have an E cup when they are really just small D's...

I always wore a smaller band, I refused to move to a 42 or a 44 I was miserable because the bands would always bind up and roll , now Im so pleased that my 40 C actully fits and looks great!!

I dont claim to be an professional, more of just a hands on observer.

Bra sizing is based on the actual circumference of your chest just under your breasts, in conjuction with the circumference of your chest over your breasts in your most comfortable bra at it's fullest area.

The first measurement is the number of your bra....34" = 34 etc...
The second measurement is the difference between the two measurements to determine the cup size. Every inch is an additional cup size. 34 and 36 would be a B cup so...34B.

If you lose weight, you chest size shrinks, but your breasts are still there, so if you go from a 40 to a 34, thats 6 inches of loss, but your breasts are still there. So if over your breasts is a 45 and is now a 40 your 40DD is now a 34DDD or I believe actually an E technically.

so loss can seem like growth.

I think Paul can confirm this is true for men as well. :o)
