So I am scheduled to lead the support group this Thursday night. Why? Because we had nobody else and I got roped into doing "something". :neener:

However, my daughter and son-in-law have decided to completely disrupt my life this week by driving out of Boise on Thursday morning with a U-Haul truck on their way to Seattle. Ethan will be staying with us until they get things settled up there.. AND he has developed pneumonia! *sigh*

What I had planned to do was print out the "How to tell if you are perfectly filled" check-list and then use it as a guide to do a group check-up. My goal was to bring things to light that people may be forgetting after being banded for so long.

So, here's what I'm thinking. I can print out enough of those for everyone, and then all I need is for someone to guide the discussion through the list. It was going to be an open discussion night, rather than me up there preaching to the choir. heh

If someone would volunteer to take my place, I would appreciate it SO much! There is no requirement to be a perfect bandster who can proudly hold their own banded life up to the check-list without worry. This was going to be a check-up from the neck up for me too!

So sorry about all the upheaval Susan! Unfortunately, I've had my schedule changed as another dispatcher broke his elbow on a trampoline (!!!) and I have to work on my night off. Life sure likes to throw us curve balls huh??

Thanks for asking about Ethan! He's doing a lot better. Yesterday he was a bundle of energy. Great to see after seeing him so sick.

Thanks again for covering the meeting for me, Jacqie!

I just heard from Jacqie about last night's meeting. I guess only a few people were able to come and the actual topic for the night wasn't able to be discussed, so we are going to try that again!

I'd like to thank Jacqie again for the time she put into preparations for the meeting. And since you've read the handouts I prepared, Jacqie, I'll have you help me lead the next one we do! Mwahaha! *evil grin*

I think next month we have Jolynn Seibert (registered dietician) coming in to talk with us. She did one of our meetings a year or so ago and she was awesome so y'all don't want to miss June's meeting.

We will try the Back to Basics meeting again in July. Thanks to all who attended. Sorry it didn't go as planned but we'll make it up to you!
