I have been having reflux since the day before my last fill which was almost a month ago. My doctor even noticed it on the flouro. I mentioned it to him and he said if it continued we would have to look into it. Now I have had reflux almost my entire life. He did fix a hiatal hernia during my band surgery. I don't think I am overeating. The past few days I have regurgitated the most minute pieces of lettuce. There is no way it had anything to do with being stuck - it is so small. Even my chewable vitamins will reflux. I wake up with the taste in my mouth of what I last ate the night before. I never go to bed less than 3 hours after eating. Well today I have put myself on a self-imposed liquid diet until I see my doctor a week from Friday.

Anyone else have any experiences with this.

Yes, and liquids until you see your doc is a good step. Let him actually diagnose you.
BTW, my DW and I both enjoyed getting to know you at b2g.

Hey Shirley *big hugs*

Persistent reflux is not a good thing. I'm glad you're going in to see your doctor.

Typically, reflux is a sign of being overfilled. Have you been having trouble eating a reasonable amount of food?

Thankfully my reflux issues were solved with the hernia surgery I had when my band was placed. But I will know what you're going through. And it sucks!! Glad to see you're engagnig in "extreme self-care" by getting right in to see the doctor and putting yourself on a liquid diet between now and then. I suspect it might be a fill issue too. Keep us posted on what you find out.

Hugs ,,,,, Judy

Like I said he saw reflux on my last flouro even before he filled me some. I have been able to eat quite a bit and have to watch myself. I have even gotten hungry between meals. I don't think I am overfilled but I do think something is wrong.

Thank you Patrick for the kind words. I enjoyed meeting both of you also.

Wow, I missed that Shirley. He saw reflux and still filled you? That really surprises me.

Well, now I'm anxious to see what he says. I hope everything is alright. *big hugs*

I haven't posted in a while. The last few months have been really crazy. I haven't lost anything since January and I haven't had insurance to go to the doctor for a fill. My insurance finally went into effect on 5/01/08 and the first thing I did was schedule a fill. The day after my fill I started getting indigestion when I starting getting hungry. When I ate something it went away. Very weird. I went back to the doctor 5/15/08 and he removed what he put in and now I don't have indigestion. So does this mean I won't be able to get anymore fills. In the 2 weeks that I had this last fill I lost 2lbs. I haven't lost in months. So now I'm frustrated.

I go back to the doctor on 6/10/08. I just hope I can get filled again.

This banded life can be a wonderful and weird thing at the same time. Patience and careful meal planning, possible even more liquids, might help until you see your dr again.
