Steroids

Anyone have experience with steroids? I am on them for 5 days for laryngitis. Said they may make me gain weight. Is it the food you eat bc you are hungry or do the medications really cause gain?

I think it is some of both. Drink lots of water and watch your calories and you will get through it and might even lose a little weight. I have a banded friend that has been on and off steriods for month, but she had still managed to lose weight.

I've been on prednisone for a few months now, and its definitely harder to lose weight on the steroids (not making excuses, im starving all the time on these crazy things), but i'm still losing.

Switching to Humira starting tomorrow, so it should be the start of the end of the prednisone.
