but I am going to need a TON of work done when i get to goal!! I have a really large pannis, or apron, and i have noticed that it is just getting worse and worse and uglier and uglier as time goes on. honestly if I never lost another pound and stayed this same size I would be fine....if it weren't for my apron. I can live with my but being the size of two watermelons in summer. And I can almost live with the bat wing arms. Maybe I'll learn to fly someday! But the gut is making me sick. and it is literally making me not be able to fit in to clothes more now than ever before which is weird since i have gone down in size.

*sigh* oes it ever get better?

I read somewhere on that there are surgeons who will do ps for a reduced cost if you donate the skin to burn victims. Is this true?

I would have plenty to donate, I would love that... Can someone find out if there is any truth to this discounted skin thing?
I am thinking I’m going to need work too, lets see something must be done with this chin, my batwings, I need Breasts again, my apron (Funny I thought you said you had to do something with your penis I shouldn’t post before coffee my inner thighs, my butt, you know my cellulite is worse now, because all the divots are empty.. lol I think this is a body lift, .. please that would be great top donate all of my skin to some one that needs it!!

I'm definitely going to need it, and I'm sure I'm going to be scared shitless to get it. Believe it or not, the only thing in life I have any fear of is surgery. I despise being unconcious (done it a few times...mostly unplanned), it freaks me out on a high mental level which leaves me twitchy for days.

Did you guys see that program about the woman who lost all that weight and then got the series of surgeries to remove all of her excess skin? They showed her legs as she was walking in a swimming pool, and the poor woman's skin was just waving in the water like seaweed. The full body lift looks so scary!

I am thinking I'm going to need a tummy tuck, face/neck lift and my batwings are bad but dang, who wants a huge scar running down your arm??

I think I would prefer ths scar then waving rolls of skin, I mean come on this isnt amber waves of grain here.

P'nut, I am with you... I am not sure which is worse, bat wings or huge scars. Can anyone tell ahead of time if they are going to need ps? I mean are there any indications before wls to tell weather you will need it or not? I know that lots of water and excercise will help.

I'm getting the tummy tuck with lipo around my waistline. I need that stitch. My belly would look soo much more tighter if I had this done. I am planning on October - November, that's the plan but plans change.

I think the crazy workouts have really helped my skin to shrink back in place. I do have inner thigh issues. The skin has shrank but I think I'll need some help there if time does not fix it.

I will definitely need PS on my tummy, inner thighs and boobies. If there was a way for the bat wings scar to be in the armpit, I'd do that too. So far, I've only seen pictures of a nasty scar running on the underside of the arm. If that's the case, no thank you!

Oh and P'Nut - I did see that show on TLC last night. That poor woman has gone through so much. I felt so bad for her when the skin/fat on her inner thighs died and she was left with craters in her legs.

I would love a tummy tuck and boob job... but I think I am too big of a baby.
We will see though. I will let you all get it done first, and then you can convince me :)

I'm not worried about scarring, hell I don't care if I look like one of Frankenstein's mistakes as long as it's all tight.

I'm more concerned with being unconcious again, being operated on again, and honestly....moob job...scarey. I only had the courage to post this now because I was just asking Paul about it. He's no help in this area, so I can only ask the ladies I guess.

Any of you have the breast reduction yet, whats it like? scars etc?

I am not wanting a breast reduction... but to lift them back up to where they have never been. I would like info on this also...

I will for sure need surgery. People all say I am so young they are sure my skin will tighten, well it has some, but a lot hasn't.

I am going to wait on a tummy tuck until I have had kids and think I am done in that area. But I do want to get my boobs done as soon as I am at goal. I went from a 44DD to a 38D...with pretty much to mass, all skin, very nasty. I'm twenty! I want perky boobs dang it! I also have "bat wings" But wont do anything about them until they improve the scarring. And I want my inner thighs done...I am going to do a lot of working out in the next cople months, but I don't think i will see the improvement I want.

The rumor of the onating skin is just that...a rumor. there is now validity to it, saly. i have enough skin to replace 2 victoria secret models.

As for a breast reduction, yeah, i have had one. my scars were minimal. I had the typical "anchor" cut done, and i went from a EEE to a D. After the kids the girls went back to a DDD, but have lately been more of a DD. TMI? BFD. A-OK. An no I am not going to post pictures. LOL

As for the scarring under the arms, there is a surgery where they do most of the cutting in the armpit an pull the skin up like a sleeve, and only a short scar in the unersie of the arm. It isn't like before where they just rewrapped your arm and cut off the excess.

I am of the same thought...Chick's dig scars, broken bones heal, but i don't want to look like an empty trash bag floating around in the water.

If I reach goal my inner thighs will look like shar-pei puppies. I am shaped like a pear on steroids. The majority of my fat is below the waist. Not freakish mind you LOL! But I lose my weight in the following annoying order;
-chin
-chipmunk cheeks (the ones on my face folks the ones on my face!)
-tummy
-love handles
-arms
-legs
-boobs
-thighs
-BUTT bringing up the rear so to speak. My caboose of the weight loss train!

Who knows if I will want to have the bottom half done or will completely chicken out. We'll see.

I would love to have lipo on my thighs and butt right now. But it's not happening so...I continue to put a beeping light on my butt so when I back up nobody gets hurt.

I use my hips for good not evil.

Funny, ok.. here is my proposal..lets do a swap just like a clothing swap. You said you had a breast reduction...well I could sure use some boobs here! I will then donate my extra thighs and hips to a needy soul. I know I could donate them to my husband for a BUTT!!!! He has absolutely no butt. I keep threatening him with implants...LOL

You know, I think I have been AMAZINGLY lucky, but not as lucky as I thought I might be.

I think I'm a good case in point for banding at lower BMI's. Just because you've reached only a 35 doesnt mean you wont be a 50 one day. I feel sure 35 was just a stop along the way for me. But being banded when I was means I didnt get a very large belly or huge arms, large enough obviously but I have no "apron" and my arms are just shrinking back to normal.

However, I didnt get out of 3 pregnancies as lightly as I thought I did. Because I got no stretchmarks at all I thought being up the duff did no damage, but my belly is not going to be as tight as I imagined. I'm going to have a fair bit of residual blobbiness and some crepey skin. And I've got more cellulite now than when I was fatter, now that my skin's not so filled out, lol. I have a bit of crepey skin under my neck too, although my chins never numbered more than two.

So be it though, I look like most other people and that's all it will take to make me happy. So I'll be sucking my gut in on the beach with the rest of them and hoping the fake tan hides the cellulite.

I'd definitely consider PS on my boobs though, 27kg gone and STILL a DD. I'd like to be a C cup.

Funny, I felt the same exact way! Now that I've had that icky stomach bit removed, if I could just get my thunder thighs, chunky knees and tuckshop lady arms to fix themselves, I'd be happy lol .. okay, maybe not. Perhaps I'm just meant to be this way *shrugs*.

You'll get there though :)

They showed her legs as she was walking in a swimming pool, and the poor woman's skin was just waving in the water like seaweed. The full body lift looks so scary!

They played that show here on late night TV recently - ironically just a coule of days after I first met my surgeon. She had a full body lift and then thigh lift surgeries done in really quick succession (about 4 to 8 weeks apart??). She was non-lapband WLS patient. Her thigh lift wounds got really badly infected. Her sister died in the middle of it all, which complicated her emotional recovery. Her surgeon denied the next surgeries for arms / bust lift due to infection and recovery problems. She was told to wait longer before the final surgery. She even went to England to get the last surgery - and was denied there also. So she went back to her hotel and ate. That part was really sad - after all she went through with WLS and PS and complications, she still used food for comfort.

I'm going to wait until finished w/loss and childbearing, then go and get me made into a supermodel!!! Hubby better learn how to run fast, to catch me!!! tee hee hee!:heh: :heh:  :heh:

HOWEVER: The thought of PS scares me witless - particularly the body / leg lifts. As a pear shape, I will probably need tummy, butt, thighs all lifted. My tummy already needs work:mad: . I'll need the girls made happy too, as their stuffing grew on my rear end, and they've been looking down trying to find it ever since:tsk: . LOL!!! I think I'll be able to live with my arms, as they aren't too bad now.

I am absolutely fine with having scars, but i guess it is due to my knowing that my scars dissapear on my skin after about 5 years. you can barely see the scars from my breast reduction.

I have talked everything over with my husband a lot, and we both decided i would be happiest with a total body overhaul when i am at goal. I will be doing it the way most plastic surgeons suggest as well. I will wait a year after i reach goal. your skin needs time to catch up. after a year and what shrinkage does happen I will have a total boy lift. arms, thighs, but, back and stomach, neck if needed, and boobs. i want to look like barbie. that bitch gets everything!!

If I need it...LOL...oh I will need it. I'm basically going to go for the skin suspenders.
I could care less about scars on my arms and legs, i'm a guy...i'm supposed to have scars.....i'm more worried about the moobs. Looking like I had a breast reduction is going to make me look like a scarred up tranny.

Plus...someone who shall remain nameless mentioned the terrifying term "bologna nipples" which makes me shiver every time I even think of the term.

They just had a great PSurgeon at my support group last night talking about body contouring after weight loss (including skin removal, and lipo). It was fascinating. They can really minimalize the scarring with new techniques.

I am all for having the apron and the arms done, but I am TERRIFIED to do anything to my boobs. I am very attached to their sensitivity for other matters that belong in the "adult section" of this website.
The only boob job that I have heard of is the lollipop cut. (cut underneath and a circle around the nipple, leaving a lollipop scar)
I would die if i lost any sensitivity in that area.
So, I will lose weight, but have droppy boobs.
Funny, with your reduction, did you have sensitivity issues?

A friend of mine had a breast reduction 2 weeks ago. I got to see "them" on Saturday. She has COMPLETELY eased all of my fears of having them done. She looked great after 2 weeks. It was amazing!

I had some weird sensitivity issues for a little while, but now everything is back to normal. My left was hyper sensitive. I mean to the point of painful, and my right had barely any feeling at all. But now it is all perfect, and I am even slightly more sensitive, which is fun :D

The first week was REALLY painful, but i stayed pretty heavily drugged. The second week I was up and around and able to do things by myself. The bruising stayed for a long time, but soon it was gone, and the scars dissapeared. Rob swears that not only is it really hard to see the scars, but it is impossible to feel them as well. so i lucked out. Some surgeons make the breast too tight when they do a reduction, and they stay rather square for a year or two. But mine dropped fairly quickly and nicely. I am still perky from it, though i have lost some volume lately.

the hard part of being a guy who needs this surgery is that there are NO after pictures to help me relax, and really there are no pictures at all. I am then forced to try and find pics of females and wonder if since I don't want them to be perky, but TOTALLY EMPTY will the lollipop stand out, and how stupid will I look.

Don't get me wrong, i'm willing to look stupid, hell i'm even good at it. I'm just wondering to what level.

503 I hope this helps. I was doing some research about male breast redux because of your situation and ran across a lot of sites like this one http://www.plasticsurgery4u.com/procedure_folder/male_breast_lift/

seems that they actually pull the skin together around the nipple, so that the scar is very minimal, just around the areola. I think the important thing will be to wait till you get own to that size and see what sort of tissue issues you have left.

yeah, seems they reserve the lollypop or anchor cuts for the women. the men get more defined nipples and no scarring. just another example of the man holdin us down. LOL
