I have been in San Diego with my Hubby and my Brats ( 3 and 12). While at the S.D. Zoo on Sunday I get the e-mail that I have been approved for my surgery. This is great except on WEdnesday when I get home I get a call from my financial advisor saying my stock market account has taken a crap basically. Thats not the end to her great news.. With the drop in the housing market I have lost over $150,000 in the equity on my house. What a way to end a vacation...

Well now I am trying to decide where to take the money for my surgery from.. I am hoping to make the decision by tomorrow or Monday at the latest.. I really want to do this ASAP..

BTW while I was getting all this crappy news my girl friend who is 2 yrs post-op bypass and 6 months post TT calls to tell me she fits in a size 4..At least I got some good news..

Hi Pattie.. I'm sending good thoughts out your way.. somehow it will happen. Someone told me one time, that if things came easy, we wouldn't appreciate them as much.. I know it's kind of an easy thing to say.. but keep thinking good thoughts.. it will happen for you :)

Grats on surgery approval! Sorry to hear about the financial stresses. It really is a tough time right now. Your health and happiness is the best investment you can make AND one you'll be hoping for a LOSS! heh

I used to live in SD. Loved the Zoo. Loved Balboa park. Loved the beaches. Loved the city.

As for the size 4 friend... Its so hard not to be envious, even when we are sincerely happy for others who are experiencing that which we long for.

Hang in there! Things will work out for the best. I sincerely believe it!

Donna is right, it's the things we aquire through the blood, sweat, and tears that we appreciate. Know things work out like they are suppose to. Maybe not always they way we want them to but the way they are suppose to.

Hang in

I'm not that stressed over it, I just want people to go out and BUY BUY BUY.. LOL That is my retirement money LOL.. I have enough money stashed here and there that I will have my money soon..It's just upsetting to me that the econony is dropping so bad..

Spent a few days out there.. Went to the Zoo, we have annual passes.. Went to the museum of natural history to see the Pompeii exhibit... Went to Sea World got splashed by Shamu ( aka big dog).. Because the 12 yr old boy child made us sit in the 2nd row right behind the whales LIttle stage... Ended up with Annual passes to everything, because it turned out cheaper that way..

I sincerely find this great news, she has worked her Ass off for this..We are good enough friends that I can celebrate this victory for her without jealousy..

Hang in there! Things will work out for the best. I sincerely believe it!
I am a very impatient person.. I want it now... I feel like my 3 yr old , about ready to throw a tantrum.. LOL
