Hey all.
Due to insurance fiascos I waited 4 months to get a fill. Finally, in July, I get 1.5 in my 4 cc band.
Since then, I have had 3 appointments canceled by my doctor because they are so busy. he's good, but he is way too busy.
Last night I was able to eat two and 1/2 WW dinners before I felt satiated!!
My next appointment scheduled has been pushed up to October 20th.
I am leaving to meet my boyfriend's family at a wedding this week. I really had hoped I would have lost so much more than the 20lbs I have since March 13th.
This is really pissing me off.
ANyone else have a doc that is too busy??

That would piss me off too, its so discouraging. Sometimes things crop up but really, if you've been cancelled once then its not YOUR turn to be cancelled the next time.
Id do my block but I've never been backward about coming forward. Actually I'd turn up and create a scene in the waiting room.

Your so right. Many times I get a knee jerk reaction, so I wanted to see if I was ticked off for a good reason.
If they try to cancel me again on the 20th, I'll tell them to cancel someone else.

Hi Leener,
What a frustrating experience. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. You spent good money and/or time and went under the scalpel and now he's ignoring your medical needs? Unacceptable.
Write the Doc a letter. It'll make you feel better. There's nothing like a righteous well written diatribe to get your feelings out. Sometimes I just pound away at the keyboard, saying the most outrageous things. It really does help to get out some of that pent up anger. Don't mail it. Come back to the letter a day later, edit out the crap and send off your complaint. You have a right to good care and you're not getting it. Clearly he doesn't think that your weight management is a priority. Well, it is for YOU. Heck...I'll write the damn letter for you.....I'm getting worked up just thinking about it.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I agree with both Jachut and Diva Girl! This is NOT acceptable. Especially with all the crap you went through at the beginning of your band experience!!!!! You're doctor should be jumping through hoops to get you into his office instead of calling and cancelling.
I think you should definitely show up at the doctor's office and demand to see the doctor. If he's too busy to see his patients, it's time for him to hire some more help. He's certainly making enough money to do that.
If you need us, Diva Girl and I will be over here working on that letter!

Heh...I love you people.
I'm seeing him next Thursday. If they try to cancel I'm going to flip out. I'll defo need help with that letter.
I had 1.5 in the 44cc in July and I can eat 2 cups of ANYTHING now. Is that normal for restriction to disappear like that? I have not lost any mre weight, as you know.
In fact, 20 lbs since march quite simply...sucks.
Is the lack of restriction and the slow weight loss due to not seeing the doc more often??
