Hi
I have been a long time reader of this board but rarely post. I am looking for support, suggestions, commiseration. I was banded Aug 29, 2007 and have lost 34 pounds. My DH and I had discussed getting pregnant again this summer for a couple reasons. ( one of which I would have lost a little more weight) He also is being mobilized with the National Guard to Iraq in August. Well, I guess just discussing made it come true. I found out I was pregnant February 19th still on the BCP. My OB verified it the first week of March and I then went in to have my band completely un-filled. By my next OB appt. I had lost another 8 lbs. Two weeks later another 3 lbs at the next visit. My OB is starting to get concerned. I still have some minor restriction from the empty band but have been able to eat a bit more than before. I don't generally gain alot of weight with my pregnancies, 16 lbs with the first and 9lbs with the second but I am now almost 13 weeks and my pants are still getting too big. I haven't really had any morningsickness, just the case of the blah's that usually get better after eating something like yogurt or cheese and crackers. I have experienced the shakes more often and some lightheadedness.
I do exercise regularly but not heavily. Twice a week I go to the gym and spend an hour split between the treadmill and the weight machines and every other Saturday I hit the water with my rowing team. When the weather is better we will add a second practice during the week.
I don't get enough sleep. I work full time nights at the hospital and take care of my two little girls during the day and average 5 hours of sleep. This is bad, I know.
This has become quite the post but I hope someone has suggestions that I can put into action. I had fertility issues- Clomid, surgery etc with my first baby, but both pregnancies were pleasant and both girls were early and small. This make me very nervous for the third.
