I have had 5 fills now and I am at 3.5cc's in my 4 cc band. I feel that I have restriction but maybe I need another cc or 2 to be at my sweet spot, but I am wondering about being tighter in the morning. I am just getting use to the restriction and I was wondering, if I don't feel hungry or even the urge to eat in the morning, could that be from being tight in the morning? I have just started noticing it over the weekend. It was weird, this morning I went to the fridge because I was awake and the kids were off to school and at about that time is when I get breakfast. The only thing is, I really didn't feel like eating, so I got a drink instead. Then about half an hour later when I did eat something because I was starting to feel hungry, I still felt like I could take it or leave it and I was afraid the food would get stuck. Does it sound like I am tight in the morning, or just getting use to not eating so much food?
Thanks

Mia - could be both.
When was your last fill? Id take it easy, sometimes restriction will creap up on us a few weeks later.
Also - most of us are much tighter in the mornings and relax during the day.

I'm definitely tighter in the morning now that my fill kicked in. I used to eat cottage cheese around 9:30 or 10:00 and now I don't even think about eating until early afternoon or later. In the past couple of days I haven't even been hungry until 5:00 pm or so.

(Said in my best Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka) I hope it lasts!

It could be both. I wake up hungry, but my appetite simply switches off at around 5pm and I am tighter at night. Not I cant eat tight but definitely restricted in a way that I am not during the day. And I just dont have the interest.

I find that I am ALWAYS tighter in the morning. I drink a protein shake when I wake up, instead of trying to force food down that may hurt or come back up. Usually the shake will keep me full for at least 3-4 hrs when I will be more open and able to eat solids with no problem. I think this is fairly common for bandsters.

mia,

i am filled to 3.5cc also, and i experience restriction/tighness in the morning just as you describe. i have noticed a significant decrease in the amount of food i can consume throughout the day also. FINALLY-i look forward to stepping on the scales!

good luck!
