Just wondering if there are any Coloradians out there...if so what part?
We are stationed at Fort Carson, and I live in the Springs. My surgery will be performed at the Air Force Academy. My surgeon is a new doc to this area, and frankly I cant find out anything about him. (I cannot choose my doctor with my insurance, however it is fully covered- including plastics a year out) Was wondering if anyone knew of him...or have heard anything...Dr. Russi?
Thanks!!

sharont!!!! i cannot believe i know someone who knows my soon to be surgeon!!! how very exciting. i am bouncin off my chair here!
thank you for responding, allow me to calm down...deep breaths...
how long have you been on here?? okay so my date is "supposed" to be in early June...but i havent heard anything from them..i am waiting on kelli to call me...apparently he is super busy! are you working out? where do you go? i would love to share lunch with you one day! or a work out! either or!
dr. russi. hmm. i have only met him once. i was insulted. however, he seems like a very no nonsence kind of guy bedside manner aside, and after care is very important to him- essential to lapband success. you tell me..how is he as a surgeon? did u like him upon meeting him first? i found one other person that had him not here, another site, i tried to contact her before i met him and she never wrote me back...anyway the first meeting with him was not good for her either, but after that everything was fine. i ran into him at the christian book store once and he met my hubby. he was very polite..so i really cant feel him out...
oh sharon i have so many questions..and judy thank you for introducing us! i will send this to u in a pm, just in case u dont get it. lol...i know i'm sad!

Hi Kristina-

Hi Kirstina-
I loved Dr. Russi because he is a no-nosense guy. He is wonderful and the after care was WONDERFUL!!! I have not had to have any fills but I am going to make an appoinment tomorrow to get one. It has been almost 5 plus months and the weight loss is slowing down. I work out at Villa Sport and Spa - I loved it.

I work as a school counselor in Falcon 49 School District even though I live in Academy 20 district. Do you live on post?? Has your husband been delpoyed?? My husband was deployed for 15 months and came back on New Year's Eve and has now moved to VA so he does not get deployed again.

We have to get together before your surgery. I can tell what it was like for me and how I felt afterwards. Let me know what your time schedule is. I will post you my phone number in the private email. Hang in there and I am so glad to have someone else here in the Springs and who is also a military wife.

oh you poor thing, i couldnt imagine living away from Ed, without a deployment! that must be so very difficult for you. i got ur pm, and i thank you...this website is really coming to life for me...i have Hope just around the corner and now here you are, praise the good Lord!! yes my hubby has deployed for 3 combat tours. and 1 to Korea. he actually just came home about 3 months ago...so we have about a year before another one.
i am so glad that we found each other on here...and dont worry about computer skills, were close so we can start getting together! do you go to the lapband support meetings at the AF? its such an akward time for me, i havent went... i hear they have a great one in the Springs at a more decent date/hour..its the first thursday of the month at 6pm...maybe we can go together? we do not live on post, we try not too. :)
i live about a mile up the mountain in the broodmoor bluffs area..we got a great deal with the housing market all crazy.
sounds like you have a great job...does everyone know you have been banded? i am kinda keepin it a secret from people...
looking forward to meeting u in person!
