My wife recently commented that she felt that I had transferred my food addictions to the internet. Let's see!
I am now, as proclaimed by no less an authority than P-Nut, an official post ho.
Through this site I am now motivated to exercising regularly (with noticeable results). I have, with the support of so many, seen my weight get back on the downward direction. I am able to use one of my favorite spiritual gifts, encouragement, to return the helpful support to other banders. I felt totally lost when Dawg spent a whole day upgrading our site.
Yep, its official. I am addicted! And I love It!

I admit I am also. I had hoped my transfer addiction would be exercise. No doubt you can guess what Charlie was hoping it would become.
All the time I spend here keeps the band life front and center for me. So perhaps it's not all bad. DB

So true, Patrick. My new addiction is way healthier than my last one! I bet I check B2G 30 times per day. I just leave it up and check it when I take a break. Like DB, though, I wish more of it had transferred to exercise also! ;)

Oh geez! I just told on myself....30 breaks per day. No wonder my husband's office is smack in the middle of an overhaul and I just can't get finished! Actually, my transfer addiction, B2G, has led me to the FlyLady.net site. I have been doing the FL plan for 2 days only and already feel like it has changed my life! Ahhhhh, ridding our lives of clutter. See, some addictions are okay!

The flylady is awesome. I get it now in digest form and it doesn't work as well as all the emails one at a time.

It's great to be reminded though about things you might not think to do otherwise. DB

Alright, with some trepidition, I'll bite. What is Flylady, and does a guy lose his masculinity by visiting it? I ask first before trying for fear of too many female influences being visited upon me. You ladies on this site are tough enough. LOL

Trust me on this one Patrick, your masculinity is stuck to you like sticky on flypaper. You will never lose it, it might get dusty or full of flies, not gonna lose it.
That said, you can read all the stuff about flylady at flylady.com . There is a lot of great ideas and inspiration there. There is also some things that i take with a grain of salt, like the cartoon of fly lady, and purple puddles. It's a method for escaping CHAOS can't have anyone over syndrome. Baby steps. Some good recipes there and products. Go enjoy! Fly and be free! DB

I used to be addicted to the gym and this site. Since I went in for the TT I have been on this site all day every day...hoping someone would come into the chat room! I am pathetic!

Side tracking a little here, I am preparing for a battle with the staff head shrinker...she is a strong believer that we are not addicted to food, and that in fact there is no such thing as food addiction.

The interesting thing to me is that she is concerned about addiction transfer...but if I wasn't addicted what am I transferring from?

As far as Flylady, you won't have any masculine loss issues, it's not like you're Just Paul after all.

ROTFL Bear. Man, this conference is going to be a lot duller without you in attendance. Goes for Just Paul and Neal as well. I will try and represent the guys as best as I can.

A true representation would mean you would wear a speedo to at least ONE meeting.

Even if you just walk in, take your bow and walk out.

Oh Lord! Remind me to wear depends to the G2G because I might just wet myself if there are any speedos being worn!

That is so funny that she does not think there is such a thing as a food addiction. Let her inside my head just one day and she will see how much I think about food.

You know this sounds like a club. Let's get together and transfer addictions, I'll give you an old shopping addiction, and a scone addiction for an exercise or sex addiction, who wants to trade? Okay how about an addiction to water as a third choice? DB
