First fill done on Friday 1-29-08. Was postponed one day due to need for insurance approval.Be sure to talk to your doctor post op to discuss: fill procedure and insurance approval.Ask what size band was put in. I have a large band 14cc. Doctor put in 4cc's. He did numb me first and tried the process several times before telling me that he was calling over to the hospital which is minuets away to get a fluoroscope picture to make the process easier. He did re numb the area before putting in the saline. It went smooth in the hospital. I liked when he said "we are trying to make a four lane hwy into a one lane hwy." I then drank water to see how it felt. I could tell that it did hit a point and then it slid through. He reminded me to use liquids for two days, mushes one day and work back to regular diet. He stressed that if I had any trouble to call him. I must admit that when food or liquids hits that stoma:eek:. It's really a reality check. I am very grateful that the fill process was not as bad as some I have read here. It is also another step in the weight loss journey. I am eating even more slowly and seem to stay full. Thanks for listening.
