Here's a special place for those who are already lucky enough to have a band baby on board to gather and share. :preggers:

:toot: And for those of us who are not there yet / done with all of that / giving it a miss to cheer them on.:cheer4::rockon2:

Enjoy!
Anna.

I'm 28 weeks & 2 days with my band baby (my 2nd baby). I had my glucose screening today and everything was good. My hemoglobin was slightly low. BP is still good. Weight gain since last check up was good. In 2 weeks I get another u/s - I can't wait to make sure this baby is still a girl!

Question for those futher along... How has the port been with the stretching belly? That is one thing that makes me a little nervous? I am 13 weeks now and had my surgery the beginning of April 2007. I just am wondering what that will feel like as my belly continues to grow?
Thanks!

Mine hurt a little when I got further along, but it really wasn't too big of an issue. I think my ligaments hurt more than anything.

Thanks I appreciate the feedback! Even though this is my second I feel like I am in uncharted waters a little bit!

My little acrobat is kicking my port pretty often right now. It doesn't hurt but has been uncomfortable with her kicking it and the ligaments stretching.

Hello, I am kelly preg with my 5th but 1st baby after my band.. Just wondering about the baby kicking the port? Can they move it? pop something? Hurt themselves (me)?? I know this sounds silly, but was wondering if there are complications? I am now 26 weeks and everything seems to be fine.. But have been getting nervous as I am getting farther along.. I called to make an appt at the clinic, but the lady who answered the phone didnt get why I wanted to come in.. You dont want a fill or unfill?? No I just would like to talk to someone.. oh ok.. So no fill?? lol
Anyways I am blabbing.. I am glad to have found this site.. Looking forward to getting to know you all.. and just to talk about the lapband in general.. I dont knwo anyone who has had it done..

Congrats on being pregnant! I'm 27 weeks and haven't had any issues with the baby kicking my port. My port is definitely sticking out but nothing hurts.

Your port is sticking out? Is it really noticeable? Are you unfilled? I am filled still and things seem to be ok so far.. I had real bad morning sickness but it has passed so far (KNOCK ON WOOD)
What have been your fav snacks.. Looking for some good healthy ideas?

KellyYeah, it sticks out a bit. It's not really noticeable except to me and to anyone who touches my belly. But, no, I'm not unfilled. I currently have 2cc in my 4cc band and everything is going really well.

I'm glad to hear that your morning sickness has passed.

My favorite snacks are cheese, fruit & nut granola bars (for much-needed fiber), yogurt, fresh fruit (especially seedless watermelon), and lots of juice.

Just wanted to pop in. I don't know if anyone read my update I posted a couple of days ago, but I am going to be a dad again. We were very surprised. Our first was took 12 months and my wife taking chlomid. She has been off the pill for the last 2 years. We had talked about trying in the next 10 to 12 months, then she turns up pregnant out of the blue. We just assumed that when we were ready, we would have to go through the fertility steps again. P'Nut said I had her permission to call it a band baby. We are really hoping for a girl, since both of my kids are boys. I need a daddy's girls to spoil! How is everyone else doing?

LOL MO'ness. March 10th ish? Well...I"m 3 weeks late and tested postive 5 times at home with 3 different testing kits. I need to go to a doctor and have a check up and some blood work. I'm a bit nervous about it b/c of the previous surgeries, lapband, tt with muscle repair but I heard that my previous TT will not effect the baby, only that I may need reconstruction should I have muscle separation again.

I really didn't think I could get pregnant with all that I have put my body through but ..hey! I'm extremely excited and feel soo blessed with this gift. I pray all goes well. I would like to read up more on loosening my lapband with a slight unflill and reading on band baby experiences. I had no idea Neal had a new baby. I have been out of the loop for so long. It's time to catch up.

I'm so happy for you girl...you may NOT need an unfill - I know that Tricia will be a wonderful help regarding all of this - heck she barely gained anything at all while pregnant and is rockin' banded life since the baby (as you know)...again congrats girlfriend! Report back when you get a date!

I absolutely love the little baby ticker at the bottom telling how big the baby is.. I just find that fascinating, I wish there was something like that when I was pregnant with my kids.. course that was almost 39 and 36 yrs ago.. lol Again.. congrats!! Babies are such blessings.. I know I've said it before :) Can't help myself (after spending the whole day with my 10 month old grand daughter who has her Grammy wrapped pretty dang tight around that precious finger of hers). :)
