I found an exercise ball workout DVD for pregnant women, and I reeeeeeaaaaaallllllllly want to give it a try. It is supposed to help with flexibility, and get those muscles ready for the big day. I can then use the ball during labor too as a birthing ball.

I currently have a recumbant bike that just sits there. I need to get my butt back on it and get exercising again. I haven't exercised since I earlier this summer, and I miss how fit I felt.

Any other workout ideas for an expectant mother? I need a good workout, but nothing too intense. No feeling the burn for me - if ya know what I mean.

I did heaps of walking when I was pregnant. I didn't have any fitball workouts when pregnant (but since used it heaps), but I loved sitting on my fitball just watching TV etc, very good for core strength. Your fitball DVD sounds terrific.

The winner for me was: WATER AEROBICS. It was fun during the class (the baby would go to sleep), and afterwards too when the baby would wake up and jump around like crazy, like he was having his own workout! It was also very relaxing afterwards. I don't think I would have got through the pregnancy, labour and delivery on my own without it.

Either find a class especially for expectant mothers, or make sure the instructor knows you are pregnant, so the workout can be tailored to suit, as some movements will not be suitable for you.

The instructor I had used to make us do heaps of arm crunches on the side of the pool (front and back positions). They killed me, and I used to wonder why on earth we did them. That was until I had the baby and realised how much lifting, carrying and nursing a tiny bundle wears out your arms and upper back! Glad for the crunches then!

Good luck!
