Hi everyone from the Chicagoland area - near and far - it doesn't matter WHERE you live -- because I thought I would start an ONLINE gathering for all of us.

So jump on here any time - the weather, weekend plans, family, nothing will get in our way lol...if at some point a group of us decide to get together in person we'll jump right on that too!

I figured since it's been so tough getting together on a monthly basis, why not get together every day! So come here and join in the conversation! Of course anyone is welcome to join in....

I'll start the conversation out with a hot topic! When is a fill TOO full?

I had my 2nd fill January 3rd - I stayed on liquids for two days and then went to pureed. It is now the 7th and I'm still on pureed foods - and that first darn bite is really hard for me. I get up and walk - refuse to PB (productive burp w/sliming, etc) - then I burp and I can eat normal after that and finish the meal. This doesn't happen when I drink something 'warm' a half hour prior to the meal. It isn't like I haven't read about others having to drink warm liquid prior to eating - but is this a normal part of having good restriction? Or am I too tight? which I don't want to happen nor do I want the consequences.

Any and all input is welcome! esp from veteran bandsters - welcome to the Chicagoland Gathering online!

Ok where is everyone? It's mid-January and not a peep from the folks in the surrounding Chicagoland area.....

Come on in, I promise it will be FUN

My new grandson finally arrived on January 10th! He is a cutie and I've been busy with grandma duties and school starting at the same time. Life is good, I'm tired but happy. My 2nd fill seems to have done the trick and I'm no longer starving 24/7. I've lost 6.5 lbs so far since my fill on January 3rd.

How about everyone else?

I know there are people who live in Illinois and the surrounding area -- but where are you?

I guess I'll have to update this alone lol --

I've lost a total of 7 lbs since my 2nd fill...took a major fall and hurt both knees so after emergency room care I am icing them and using crutches. Getting better slowly......My grandson is a sweetheart! He has put himself on an every 3 hour feeding schedule and slept through the night for 5 hours two nights in a row his first week home! He is truly a darling!

How is life going in your part of the world?
