ok...i have noticed that with the hair loss is also coming an itchy scalp. Its not like I have dandruff. I have none. But omg my head itches!!! It drives me nuts! its like all of a sudden i have this really desperate itch that needs to be scratched, and I feel like I look like I have fleas when I am out in public. LOL

Hmmm are you using some different products on your hair? Hair Spray and styling gels make my head itch.

Nope. everything is the same. Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner. same gel and anti frizz serum.

the only thing that has changed is my face cleanser, but that oesn't go on my head. My face has not change except for being clearer.

cheese head!! LOL i am not opposed to get another head. :D

It is weird...and annoying. I asked pnut if she had it, and she said some, but i am not sure if it is relate to the hair loss, or to the weight loss.

I have started to use some stuff called "Pearatin Fortifying Serum" on my hair. It is made by Loma & the only place I have been able to find it is on the web. It's like $14 for a 4oz bottle. It lasts forever though. It has a lot of protein in it & my hairdresser told me not to use it every day cause it will actually dry your hair out. But since I have been using it, my hair has almost completely quit falling out. No lie! It also feels extremely silky & just looks healthy. It is an leave in serum. Don't know if it truely is what is working. Like I said, "I am not a hairdresser." But I can sure tell a difference if I don't use it for a while!!

Personally I have dermatographism so I just itch everywhere, all the time. As P'Nut would likely testify, don't rule out hives.

Personally I just take a very mild antihistamiene when I have an issue. It's something you might consider if it persists. If it eases it then there's a good chance it's hives. Chat to the Doc. etc. If it is hives it's either alergy or stress related.

:D son of an.... ITCH!

Maybe its COOTIES... LOL. Just kidding, I hope it gets better. Sounds crazy, but I went to cosmetology school... Try SeaBreeze, like you clean your face with, wash your hair then pour it on and let it sit for about 15 minutes and rinse it out. We were tought that for when people said they itched and we did not know why.... sounds crazy I know... sorry!

Funny - I have had the same thing. It is especially bad when I am riding in a car. It's like the movement moves my hair around just enough to cause this maddening itching. But I itch other times as well. I am having a problem with a little hair loss and dandruff since last week. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one itching but sorry you are suffering too!

I vote it's the tin foil hats your wearing to ward off the aliens, CIA and the gov't from reading your mind.

But seriously... I can't believe you put this thread up because i am the SAME EXACT thing going on!!!

Funny, me too! My head itches like never before. No flaking, but itching only. I use denorex to make the itching subside but it's temporary. I also have broken out in my scalp a few sores but this is really new. I wonder if it's the constant sweating from the workouts that has our heads itching like this.

I agree with you Telly. It could be the sweating from working out, opening of your pores on your scalp from the heat your body is producing and possibly new hair growth. I get lil itches on my scalp too...feels like a lil creepy crawlie, drives me nuts!!!

Yes Funny, my scalp is more sensitive! I can't wear anything that is going to pull on it too hard.

My belly itches----does that count??

yes it counts cheryl! Cause it might be the same thing!

Telly you might have a good point! It could be from all the sweating. I don't have the sores, but i do scratch in my sleep and i accidentally scratched too hard before. :( are you doing this perhaps?

Rich...I wear a bandana almost constantly.
