Took these tonight after talking to Telly about extra skin and stuff.

I really dont know if my skin will go back, I have been overweight all my life and as you can see in some of these pics I have a LOT of stretch marks from the rapid weight loss and gains growing up. Also the red marks are from my shirt and laying on the floor right before taking the pics, lol.

I'm pulling the skin tight in some of these pics, I know I would be a size or two smaller without this skin.

Ok...can't believe I am publicly showing these pis, NO ONE sees whats under my clothes, have always hated my stomach and the stretchmarks. Oh well.

Heres another pic of me and Kyle. I look happy, but its fake, this was one of the saddest days for me. But I was/am trying to stay positive.

But being 185 is a happy feeling. So here it is.

Stretchmarks or not, you look amazing!

I hear Tricia say things that make sense and are endearing. She says, "I know why they are there" and your weightloss is why the stretchmarks are there. It's ok Emilykaye, those too will fade in time. You put your body through some serious changes in the past 2 years I think and these are just beautiful battle scars of what you went through. They are beautiful and you are beautiful and you are young. Give your skin time to catch up with you.

thanks girlie....they are actually showing up more with me tanning more, but I like how I look better tanned so I don't care. And they arent as noticable in real life, I think thats the flashs doing.

I'm a size 12....that is just amazing to me, NEVER truly thought I'd get to this point.

Emily, you are stunningly beautiful and brave. Don't worry about stretch marks or anything else, they don’t have any effect on how beautiful you look.

Emilee Kaye-OMIGAWD! You look so great! You are so lucky that you the band was around when you are young. Your body is really bouncing back, imagine how tight it will be next year at this time. I do not think you will need any TT at all.
I've been catching hints here and there as you refer to you being unhappy/having a broken heart. I am so sorry if things aren't going so well with your romance. Did you break up with your boyfriend? I hope things work out for you. You are absolutely beautiful inside and outside. If this guy wasn't meant to be than you will find your true love soon. If he is meant to be than time will tell. Just remember how fabulous you look and what a really great person you are.

Emilee Kaye, you are so so beautiful. You were beautiful as a heavy girl and as you've lost weight you just get prettier and prettier! I didn't even wait to get to the "skinny" pics before I called my husband to come and look at your amazing picture progression!

Thank you so much for posting your pictures, they are a testament to your committment and bravery. Yep, bravery. I doubt I'll ever be willing to post pictures of my 'battle scars,' but you make me want to try harder and be more open to sharing with others so they won't feel so all alone!

Thank you Donna and Diva for your words....coming here when I am feeling down always helps me get back into being in a positive mood. That I could inspire anyone else is an amazing feeling, knowing all the great inspiration I get from this board and its members everyday.

I have been down lately....my boyfriend and I broke up, he says its mutual and I know it is, but I feel like a big loser who has been dumped. We are talking and trying to fix things about ourselves to make us better people and so in the future we can have a better relationship. I planned on marrying him someday and he says he still sees me as his future but it can be very hard to stay positive during this time. The sadness of being a lone and not having life moving like I thought it would be....I see myself falling into bad eating habits and doing my emotional eating again. But I refuse to hurt my body anymore than I already have, no one or thing is worth that. And I have been good at getting my stress out by kicking up my work outs and sweating.

Get yourself away from food and to the gym, and after that put on something nice and go out and dance. Em, you are so beautiful, why would you ever let a man who is dumb enough to want to leave bother you. If he is clearly not seeing how fun and wonderful and totally hot you are...then screw him, put his crap in a bag and leave it on the steps on your way out to party.

Being skinny or pretty has nothing to do with it, it's all about who you are. i'm a big ugly hairy freak, if I can find happiness, anyone can. This guy must have been wrong for you, or he would want to fight to keep you. If you are not being worshipped like the awesome goddess that you are, then kick his ass to the curb. Accept nothing short of true love and total caring and affection.

p.s. Send me his address, I want to send him a thank you card from the rest of the men in your life.

Actually I went to a bar last night with my sister and friends. And I know this place wasn't the nicest ever and the guys there sure weren't anything I'd take home to meet the family. But it was pretty crazy to have for the first time ever almost every guy in the place looking at me and having so much attention put on me. I was hit on all night, asked to dance more than once, got a drink bought for me, and was pretty much followed though out the bar. Had one of my guy friends almost get into a fight because he felt some of the guys were being voulchers(sp?) in the way they were eyeing me and following me through the bar.

Did that totally help boost the ego? Oh yeah! Like I said, the guys weren't great, but just having the attention and knowing I could maybe be getting a little of that even in a nicer, classier place.

I haven't been on the board much, but I was just looking at your thread and WOW! I am finally through the red tape of my insurance company and am on my way to being banded in a few weeks. Your pictures are so inspiring to me. I can tell how much work you have really poured into weight loss and it is awesome. I know you probably dont see it as dramatically as I do because you see it everyday, but from the outside looking in your journey is fantastic. I know you dont think so, but you have a great stomach! I can't wait until you can tell the shape of my body. I'm tired of having a big tummy and a square ass hahaha! Congrats on all your hard work.

I am sorry to hear about your boyfriend, I remember you saying he was leaving to college. Long distance relationships are really hard. If it was meant to be, he'll be back maybe it's just not the right time. In the meantime, have a blast!!! You look great, and from what Tricia says about you, you are really a sweet person...who wouldn't want that! :purple:

I'm adding the post made on LBT for my two year band anniversary. I want to be able to come back to this thread and see my progress and how I felt a long the way.

Two years ago today I was 303 pounds, crying, scared, and hugging my parents as I was wheeled into surgery. My life has changed so much from that day, I'm not that same girl. That girl had never had a date, thought she would be alone for the rest of her life. She was afraid to sit down on lawn furniture because of an embarrassing moment when a chair broke when she sat down on it. She had gone into Lane Bryant only a couple years before as a size 16 and was now leaving with the 26-28's. She was so scared of getting bigger and bigger and that it would never stop. And she cried herself to sleep many a night.

I still see glimpses of that girl, like last weekend at the family cook out, she thought twice before sitting down on that little plastic chair. But I'm not that girl anymore. I'm wearing swimsuits without a tshirt over it out in PUBLIC, I've had an incredible boyfriend for over a year, who has given me so much love, love that I hadn't been giving to myself for years. I can walk into a room and not be the biggest one there. Now, I'm telling Lane Bryant I won't be seeing them anymore, I'm in a 14 and plan on only shopping again once I'm a 12. I feel free, as if I have nothing holding me back and anything is possible.

I don't wake up and think about food, I don't eat breakfast and only think about what I'm going to have for Lunch and Dinner. I enjoy walking/jogging and actually feel as if my heart is strong and healthy.

This morning I weighed in at 209, that's 94 pounds gone. Sure I had a goal of losing 100 for my one year anniversary, but things don't always happen the way you plan. I was hoping to be down 100 for today, but I know these 6 pounds will be coming off soon. And I WILL get to my goal. Like I said, I can do anything, I believe in myself now.

I really want to thank everyone on LBT, I only found this site a few months ago, I wish it could be given out to every single person even thinking about the band. The knowledge on here and the people are so wonderful. And a special thanks to the Gone for Good Club on here, you all are some of the most caring and supportive woman I have ever known, thank you.

And now it is the B2G board helping me with my journey!

Girl, I'm so stinking proud of you. I know what you're going thru with Kyle has to be a killer but something you said sticks out in my mind:

This is NOT the time to fall down and feel sorry for yourself. This IS the time to kick things into high gear and press on to your goal. There is nothing more appealing and attractive than a healthy, vibrant, self confident woman. Take this time to complete your mission m'dear. Don't just get to goal weight -- get in shape! Tone that body while you're getting the last few pounds off. You look great now, but don't sell yourself short on what you can be.

Focus on getting the inside in shape too. Pick something that you've always wanted to learn or accomplish and start working on it. Going to bars and getting attention is an ego booster, but it's nothing compared to that lasting inner confidence and satisfaction you'll get from accomplishing something that means a lot to you. Something not weight related perhaps.

Keep loving your man and don't give up on your goals with him, but keep loving yourself too. Make good use of this time, and Em? Let me know how you're doing ok? I get busy and cant keep up with everyone on the boards sometimes, so send me an email when you can.

EmileeKaye, Let me stand and applaud - you girl, are my inspiration! I am scheduled to band on 11/30 (a newbie here) and everyday I am on here whining about how I am up and down about it. Today I logged on feeling pretty good, and I see this thread and I am BLOWN AWAY. OMG!!!!!!!! You are proof that there is a skinny person inside of all of us! And on that note, I am sorry to hear your heart is broken. That to me is the worst emotion to feel. I saw you share that you don't want to be alone - that is your fat you talking, but it you are SKINNY! Going out was what you needed to help show you that there are many fish in the sea that would LOVE to swim with ya! GIRL, you are a HEAD TURNER! Hang in there and take time to get over the EX, resolve your feelings there, and you are sooo young, enjoy being single for a little while. I love my hubbie and kids, but there are days I think about when it was JUST ME! You don't have to answer to anyone. You can't look for True Love, it will find you.

Hehe, and thank you lil'bitty but as Telly said, yep, we were never "broken up" and always trying to work on ourselves and our relationship. We both feel we have worked hard and still have some things to do, but I had an AMAZING time in Texas and with Kyle. I couldn't be happier right now. Especially since i jumped on the scale and was 175, so that the same or a pound less than when I went on my trip!

This dress i wore to Homecoming....I couldnt find any pretty dresses in my size and was embaressed to go to stores to try them on. So my mom spent a small fortune getting this made for me, i designed it and loved it at the time. The lady who made it for us said she bet my mom was going to make me wear it for my wedding gown with how much it cost us, but I am glad to say i will be walking into any regular wedding shop and buying my dress...no worries about being the fat girl anymore.

My boyfriend is from San Antonio, so I have travelled through Austin quite a few times in the last few months as we are doing the long distance thing currently. We are looking at moving to Jackson, TN....but currently waiting to see if we both are accepted to the school we want to go to.

Thanks for the sweet complments. The reason i got the surgery, I saw one girls story...she had gastric right after her high school graduation and she showed her progress until she was 21. She looked amazing and talked about enjoying her youth and finlly having so much fun and not being the lonely girl she was in high school. I knew I wanted to change my life and do it while I was still young and could have my life back.

I will be 36 next week and I have to tell you that I of course feel blessed to have the band and he opportunity to lose the weight, but I feel cheated that I went through my 20's struggling with the weight and being heavy. I love looking at the progress on these testimonials, I don't think I can ever say just how much of an inspiration you and the other big losers here are. Having well over 100 pounds to lose seems, at times, to be such a distant goal that it is easy get discouraged. Seeing the proof that it is possible through testimonals like yours is just fantastc and makes the goal seem so much more possible for the rest of us

Grrr School!! We got into the school we were really into in Jackson, TN...but then found out about the living situation. They have a housing policy of not letting anyone live off campus until they are 24+. I have never lived in a dorm, nor have I ever desired to. I have had my own apartment/duplex since I was 18. And for the last two years Kyle and I have lived together...we would be living in the dorms where they have strict rules and no opisite sex visitors after 10. Now come on....I'm not moving 1,000 miles to move into a jail. I was pretty upset and they wouldn't consider any type of apeal. I mean coming from a two bedroom duplex, with beds, leather couches, kitchen table, dressers...all to move into a 10x10 cellroom. Not to mention my kitty. Anyways, found all this out two days before we were suppose to leave. As you can tell, I am still aggrivated over all this. All because they want the extra money of from us for housing(Pretty much exact words we were told by school employees) Hell, I figured with paying 18,000 for classes times two for me and Kyle they could let us live off campus...but oh well.

SO....now things have become a little crazy....and plans aren't completely settled, will update once I find out what I am doing in life.

On my license my weight is listed at 175.....I weighed 250 when I put that down, BAD, I know. But today on February 5th, my 21st Birthday, I showed my I.D. to everyone and had no embarrasment...cause I weigh 172! I LOVE the band!

Yeah Kyle thought it was strange tat we had our weights on our licenses here. He's a Texas one too and had never seen that. School situation....found a school we both really like thats about 4 hours from my hometown...went there checked it out...was too late to start the Spring semester. So we came back to my hometown and got into classes at the local community college. Living here and I just got a job too. We will stay here till summer, then move to this new school in the summer or fall.

Thats the plan for now.

So today I got my new drivers license....my old one said I weighed 175, it was my first license so of course everyone wants to see it...there was no way I was putting down 230-240 whatever I was at the time on there. I used that card that said I was 175 while I was at my heighest 303...and today when I went and got my new one I actually weighed 175 exaclty! It was a good feeling.

But then I ruined everything and put 165 for my new car, hell I am going to have this car until 2012, I WILL get to 165 by then, anyways, id much rather have a 10 pound lie than my 100 pound lie anyday. Just wanted to share!

Funny thing is, I had my Passport done last year and it's horrid. I haven't used it since I went to Mexico....so I'm curious as to how they will respond when I use it again.

So I have been pretty upset lately, the scale hasn't moved in a LONG time, except for up and down a couple pounds. Always staying between 173-177 or there abouts. Well, today I put on a shirt I bought my birthday weekend, two months ago. I bought it TIGHT, I was at 173 and feeling good and thought I would be getting these last 5-10 pounds off and it would fit much better. I tried it on a couple times, but was still too snug to wear in public. So today I took it out, still with the tag on and thought maybe I could wear it with my nice little girdle or whatever you call it. I haven't weighed, but I would say I'm closer to 175-77 than down at 173. Well I tried it on first without the girdle, cause that thing can be uncomfortable! And it fit, perfectly, not too tight at all, nice and comfy! So maybe even though I'm not losing weight the inches are slowly melting? I don't know, but it made me damn happy today.

Emilee - I just got to say... you are absolutely gorgeous. Looking at you, I give myself high expectations. We are both est. 1986, hehe. When I look at your "after" picture, not only do you look healthy, but you look like you've never been overweight. ALSO, the shine in your eyes show a self-confidence that is strong. You must feel wonderful.

You really look striking and stunning. You've done an amazing job. I can't wait to be there with ya. It must feel wonderful to look at your before and after pictures and feel such a strong inner accomplishment. You've come an extremely long way.

Awww Thanks everyone! I really have been feeling down lately, but seeing how I looked in that top made me feel better and as always coming here and getting such great support ALWAYS boosts my self-esteem.

I don't use my scale so much anymore. My measuring tape and the bodyfat % says more to me than the scale.

The scale doesn't take into effect what lean muscle you've created or how many inches you have lost. The scale can create trickery to the mentality of losing weight. Trust your clothes. Trust your tape. Trust you.

Finally bit the bullet and cut off all my hair.

Kyle thinks I look younger with the cut. Everyone is saying they like it....its taking me some time to warm up to it.

Thanks everyone...I am getting more used to it. Its SO nice the easy factor. Its dry in a couple minutes instead of over 20 and it feels so healthy and bouncy. I am very happy I did it.

I know I have bigger arms, and that theres a lot of skin on them. But I think about how far I have come and say f*ck it, if thats what someone notices, I don't care, I'm happy.

Wow, Em, I have to say, of all the success stories in testimonial thread, you are my favorite. You're definitely my role-model, and I feel like personally, our stories are the same, I'm just a couple years behind you though. If you don't mind my asking, how old are you?
