Okay, you ladies are quiet over "there" so I wanted to finish up September "here" because I miss you all!

Kim...how's work? How's your cousin?

Karen...you still swamped? You still in Onderland? (remember it goes up and down for a few weeks before it settles for GOOD)

Angie...how are you? You have been quiet these days...you okay? How's the new job? Are the girls liking school?

Melissa...how are you hanging in there? Did you find a house to rent? Have you sold yet? Your hubby is a cutie.

Okay, it's beddie bye time for the kids so I'll pick up with the rest of you crazies in a bit. Everyone post an update!

Kathy

Okay, Dianne...are you on a crusie yet?

How's our Ashville ladies doing? Diva girl, tangoempress, and Ladytonya?

Where are you Hondagal? And have our other 2 from lunch logged on yet? Have I missed you? Hey!

Who'd I miss? Anyone see Loretta lately?

Chat up, ya'll! Hubby and I had an arguement tonight...I'm ignoring him right now. Meanie head. It's all his fault.

Oh! And Tyler went to sleep with no diaper on at bedtime. I have been asking him if he wants one and he always says yes. Tonight, he got undies out of the laundry basket (ewww...no skid marks though, I checked) and wore those to bed. We'll see how that goes! His diaper is almost always dry in the mornings, so we may just be potty trained at night too. Yippeee!

I'm good, firmly in Onederland. :)

We've having revival at church.

We didn't get the house we put an offer on and will resume looking as we try to sell our house.

Work is busy, but good. I'm getting used to my new digs on Harris Blvd.

Otherwise, not a lot to tell. I gotta keep it short before I get logged out again. :(

Kathy it was quite around here and then Jennifer went crazy on us.

Work is VERY busy there are a lot of people out there that need our help. So if you hear anyone needing a surgeon of course send them our way. hehe.

Kristy is doing very good. They have settled in their rental house good and so far the insurance company has been coming along great for them. We went to my aunts (her mom's) a couple of weekends ago for Charlie's birthday party. It's was fun and he got A LOT of toys. Which he needed since his were all lost. She wrote me a thank you card to post and well leave to me I can't find it right now. Go figure. I need to go and post on the other board the thank you's. Ya'll have been wonderful and she just couldn't believe at the outpouring of support complete strangers gave her and her family. I told her they weren't strangers they were my extended family.

Ok so it's late my neice is going to be here @ 6 am in the morning and I need to go to bed...I am not feeling great, I am sure it's sinus. Oh joy love this time of year.

Oh I saw Loretta the other day and she is doing well. Has anyone told her about the b2g? I forgot when she was in the office. oops.

Hope everyone is doing well. Hope to hear from you all....

Wow, I haven't been on here much lately and this whole board is just growing by leaps and bounds! I am moving along in my journey. Had my initial consult with Dr. B last Thursday, 9/14. Went to see my PCP yesterday for the additional blood tests and h-pylori and he's ordering my upper GI. I have my psych scheduled for 10/11 and meeting with the nutritionist on 10/16 (although I am going to have to change that one). Things are moving right along! I was thinking I would probably not have surgery until after the first of the year but now I don't know! Of course, getting the tests done and getting the results are two different things. I know we usually have to wait forever to get court ordered psych evals back so I'm assuming this will be no different. It still feels good to be moving in the right direction! Thanks to everyone on here and LBT that has given me such great insight and advice! I love you all!

Dianne, have a wonderful time on your trip! I know you will. We'll miss you while you are gone!

Tonya, here you go! It's happening! Woot! Keep us posted on your progress, you know we are rooting for you. Thanks for being so sweet, nice, and funny. You are such a cutie! Your techie posts make me smile. :)

Karen, Ms Bubble Butt is losing her bubble!

Wavy, the diaparless nights (2 of them) have been great! I think we're gonna make it :D

Mrs Sabre

Woo Hoo ... diaperless nights for Kathy's little one! :)

Dianne, take me with you! ... Please ;)

Jill, you're too kind ... but the bubble butt will stay when everything else is gone.

Kim, it was great seeing you today!

Robin, come out, come out wherever you are!

Melissa and Angie, where are you two too?

I had a good recheck with Dr. V today. He's happy with my progress, as am I. After PBing frequently for a week, I think I have finally got the hang of eating slowly and chewing my food to heaven. It's going to heaven cause I chew the h*ll out of it! Hehe!

I love you all!

Hello NC Bandsters....

Isn't this fall weather the best?

You all sound like you're doing well. Karen...firmly in onederland...I'm so jealous. It's a ways off for me but I can kind of see it in the distance....

Wavy and Funny...I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you in Asheville. We had a great time with the group......we even got to see Kathy's stomach. That was a definite highlight.

I'm chugging along here. I'm doing mushies along with real proteins now. Last night I had shredded chicken with my pureed vegies and tonight I had meat loaf. It was utterly divine. I keep wanting to have these special dietary needs so that DH keeps cooking for me, but I fear I'm at the end of my long string of pampering. Next week....REAL food. I'm kind of scared. I just don't want to gain any of the weight back, although my doc and others tell me that that's pretty typical.

I guess that's all for now. Keep on keepin' on.

Hey ya'll
boy what a busy weekend... not
I spent all day yesterday scrapbooking. :)
Whatcha ya'll did?

Mrs Sabre

When our contingency offer fell through, we thought about waiting until we have a buyer for our house before looking again. It's a good thing we changed our minds! After looking at houses for almost 4 hours yesterday, we have decided to build a new home in Gastonia. We'll get 2260 sq. feet for less than we would have gotten 1830 sq. feet in Belmont!

We signed our initial paperwork today and picked our colors. You'd think this would be fun ... but it's a bit intimidating. This is the last house John and I expect to have, and we have to pick the colors of things we'll have to look at for the rest of our lives? As long as we can get our house sold, we'll have a new house in 6-7 months! :)

Kathy
09-25-2006, 11:58 AM
Wow, Karen! Way to move on the, er...move! Keep us updated. Do you have a link to a site with your new floor plan? I'd love to see it!

Melissa, how's your house hunting coming along? Angie, how's your job? I haven't seen you two for a bit...please check in! If you are discouraged, don't let that keep you from you biggest fans! We love you!!!!

I'm on a hunt. I want to see Melissa, Angie, and Paula.

Has anyone PM'd Jamie from LBT? JZachary, right? How's she doing? Anyone heard? What about Court?

Mrs Sabre
09-25-2006, 12:04 PM
This is our floor plan built. Our colors will be a little different ... brown shutters, darker brick, brown/black shingles.

... and here is a floor plan that's very similar. Put the master suite behind the garage and vice versa with the other three, and then flip the whole plan over so the garage is on the left; then scale it down to 2240 sq. feet.

ladytonya
09-25-2006, 12:53 PM
Wow, that is one big house! I love the brick! It is very pretty.

Hubby and I have a 1,200 sq. ft. doublewide that we're trying to get rid of so we can get a real house. The low-cost housing market around here has totally bottomed out. There are three houses for sale in my subdivision and they're just not moving. :-( We're going to be stuck with this dump forever, I'm afraid! It's not really a dump, it's actually a nice house. We just want to move to a different area of town because we're 20 minutes from anywhere. My mom warned me when he bought it, but of course I wouldn't listen. When we bought it, it was what we could afford and I was sick of living in a duplex right next to my MIL!

Anyway, yeah Karen! You are going to have one beautiful house there! Good luck to ya!

Robin,

It's good to see you lady! Is tomorrow or Wednesday your big day? I'm praying for you! Please have your husband either call or at very least log in and post on your behalf how you're doing!

Kathy
09-25-2006, 08:18 PM
Yay Hondagal! For SURE get us a message and let us know your surgery went perfectly! Don't worry about that dumb ole fish right now. It will move, promise! Take care of yourself and follow your doc's orders and it will all fall together! Yippeee!

Karen, that house looks great! I love the hip roof. I have hips and gables on mine, I couldn't pick! LOL Now, go sell that house! Yay you!

Hey, Tonya. ANY home NOT next to your MIL is a great home. haha. Give it a year. The market will swing soon enough. Plus, Diva girl is a real estate agent. She could give you some heads up about the market for your home, don'cha think?

Mrs Sabre
09-26-2006, 11:01 AM
Kathy, What is a "hip" roof? That's a new expression on me.

I have contact info for Robin. I'll check up on her tomorrow after her surgery and report in.

Tonya, hang in there; it'll sell. Of course, I'm one to talk, mine is on the market too, and no, we haven't sold it yet either.

Kathy
09-26-2006, 11:04 AM
Karen, the hip is the roof that goes all the way to the gutters with shingles, all the way around, like a pyramid. A gable has a...a gable, the triangle shape filled in with brick or siding...do you know what I mean?

Mrs Sabre
09-26-2006, 11:17 AM
OK, yes, now I understand! Is there a lightbulb icon? LOL!

ladytonya
09-26-2006, 12:37 PM
Amen, Kathy! I didn't care if I had to move in to a cardboard box, there was no way that I was going to continue living next to my MIL. I love her to death but she drives me crazy!

Hey Ya'll!!!!

How is it going? I have had a headache for 2 solid days now nd A bit more personal - I have been bleeding for 2 weeks now and it's not even time. UGH... I feel like I need to go to bed for a few days and see if things get better.

Curtis has 2 more soccer games...I love our saturday morning soccer. I hope that the party doens't fall on the 14th. I will be mad. I don't want to miss our lunch.

So how is everyone? Loving the weather? I need to go to the mountains and get some apples. I haven't made our annual fall mountain trip yet this year. We normally go to the Boone area. We have so much to do the next few weeks. Oh why does time have to go by so fast.

Ok can you tell I am not myself right now. I feel funny inside. Kinda feels like depression but it could just be stress. I don't know I guess I am just in a funk.

Thanks for listening. I love this place so much...I can come here ya'll will listen to me ramble and I know everything will be ok.

Kathy
09-27-2006, 08:13 PM
Kim, I swear the funk comes from weight loss and our hormones getting all wacky! My period lasted a full week this last time. It's never more than 4 days. I keep thinking I'm just aging, but remember when I got the funks? It's weight loss/hormones...it's gotta be!

Mrs Sabre
09-28-2006, 06:10 AM
Hang in there Kim; I’m right there with you. Almost daily I yo-yo between walking on cloud 9 and the need to cry & pinch heads off. I too am convinced it’s due to hormonal changes brought on by our weight loss. I didn’t have a cycle for 18 months; now they’re back, heavy, & painful.

Our house is showing today. :whoo: Please pray that it sells. Although we have 6-7 months before the house in Gastonia will be finished, selling our house would alleviate some stress.

Hi all...sorry been busy packing and trying to figure out the car thing. when I went to the nutritionist two weeks ago the transmission blew up in my van. Needless to say that the thought of looking for a car, house hunting and then all of Kristens current medical appointments I was stressing big time. I'm a bit better now. We still haven't found a house, but need to move by the end of Novemember. At least now we have a date to shoot for. My dad who was having some trouble with my little brother "borrowing" his car permantly told me I could drive his extra car for awhile. Unlike my brother I'm paying the payment and insurance on it...so Dad doesn't mind me driving it. Its a big difference from a van, but I'm starting to like the idea of a car instead of a van. But I have a few months before we are going to worry about a car. We are going to get moved first. It will be Nov. 1st before we have the money for the deposit and move...so I've stopped looking until then...it just frustrating.

Kristen was put on medication for her seizures. We have to go in this next week for another ekg. We have to stay up all night the night before....anyone want to join us for a late movie lol. Kristen's birthday is this week. I'm trying to make an asian themed cake....my creative juices are not flowing too strong though....so I'm afraid its not going to be up to par with what my kids expect from me.

I haven't posted the pictures from our last get together...I seem to have "misplaced" the camara. I'm sure its here at the house somewhere, I'm hoping i haven't packed it. Kristen is getting upset because I keep packing up everthing....she has moved before but we have been in this neighborhood for 10 years and this house 6. Karah who is has never lived anywhere else is practically jumping up and down with excitement.

I haven't seen Angie yet but one of my friends from work works with her. I went to the friends and family night at starbucks hoping to see Angie, but she didn't have a babysitter for that night. I'll have to ask Lucianna when Angie generally works and go in and find out how good a cup of coffee she makes.

Melissa - girl sounds like things have been super busy for you. It will get better. Let me know if you need any help with anything. We have a truck DH can help you move. hehe...don't tell him I told you that. But really I will help with whatever you need.

Karen - Sorry the house showing got cancelled. It will happen. I have faith.

Ok FINALLY got a hold of the doc today. They want to see so I have an appt for Thursday...Please pray I have stopped bleeding by then. This is just CRAZY... I feel better today out fo the funk I was in yesterday. I know this weight loss does crazy things to the bod...but I the BC that I am on is proving not to be the best. So I think they might be changing me. Go figure.

Now for today - Mike's grandfather might now make it through the night. They got the call today and we are just getting home from Mooresville. He has been sick and we have been told this before. For some reason if it's not tonight I think it will be soon. He has been bad for years and I know he don't want to live this way. Please say a prayer that he goes peacefully when it's his time. We are as ready as we can be...but it's still hard.

Ok so hope you all have a good night. I will keep you posted.....

I wish I could make lunch in October! Although many people are supportive of my new banded lifestyle, only people who have a band truly understand it's ups and downs. No, I'm not having any problems, I just miss you all!

We changed agents within the same real estate company because the one we started with was a complete rookie, and frankly we had no confidence in her. We met our new agent last night, and there's no comparison. She has it going on. We have 9 days to finish up as much as we can, and then we're having an open house. Anyone want a house in Belmont?

Work is good, busy. CIC (Harris Blvd.) isn't quite a habit yet, but it's getting there. My job is growing/changing, and it's exciting, but a little unnerving too.

Hey ya'll just wanted to let you know that Mike's granddad did pass away last night. He went in his sleep so it was peaceful for him. We are leaving for PA in the morning and hoping for the funeral on Sunday. Then heading home on Monday. We have to get his son in law (mike's uncle) home, he just left this past Sunday to start his training for Iraq. So if you could please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.

Hey all Thanks so much...I posted what was in the paper in PA. It's under the spiritual request threads here. It also has a cute little story Curtis and I had today coming home after we left everyone at Mike's mom's.

Ok so the it was really hard yesterday we had the viewing and the funeral yesterday. It was a long day and somber day. Then today is Mike's grandmothers birthday. So needless to say we didn't have much planned for her. It's been hard on us all. I knew I was attached but I didn't realize how attached I was. I am into my family very much. Curtis doesn't understand he has been very good and when I told him pappap was an angel now he said "but mommy he doesn't have any wings." I am so glad Curtis will remember him somewhat. Also I have to say this is the best he has looked in years. He looked peaceful and he even had a little grin on his face. He has had a rough life with a lot of deaths, a wife (my mil's real mom), 2 son's, one grandson and a lot of brothers and sisters.

Again thanks all for the thoughts and prayers. We have to now watch grandma to make sure she is ok. Keep her going and keep her active but get all the papers out and find everything he might have had hidden. Gotta love the old people.

Ok so I will now move over to the Oct chat....Again Thanks!!!!
