Thyroid issues

I am a pre-bander and I am in the process of getting all of my mandatory bloodwork done. I got a call from my pc today and they said that I now need to go on thyroid medicine :eek: Is this going to effect my ability to get my band? Or does this mean I just need it that much worse? Can anyone help with this? Thanks

I do not think it will effect you getting the band. My DH has no thyroid glands at all. (They were removed due to cancer)
Your getting on thyroid meds will most likely help you lose your weight faster.
