Ok, this may be a silly question, but how do you guys keep your food warm while eating? I am so tired of eating cold food. It takes me about 45 minutes to eat a meal, and by the time I am not even halfway through, everything is cold. I am sure I must not be the only one who has this problem. I have an electric hot coaster that keeps my hot cocoa warm, do they make a plate that will keep my food warm? If so, where can I get one?

I found others but they were all in Singapore, looks like you just pop this in the microwave and then just place your plate on it. And wallah - hot food!

It takes me about 15 minutes to eat until I am satisfied, so I haven't had that problem yet.

If any of you have a stone from The Pampered Chef. This does thes exact same thing. It hold in the heat & keeps food very warm.

Susan - how did the ebay warming plate stone work for you, does it keep your food warm? I can find anything on ebay!
I am researching another item - it's a twist on bento boxes, but it looks perfect for bandsters. It's Zojirushi Bento Lunch Jars. There are three sizes, the Ms. Bento Stainless Lunch Jar (2 containers), the Classic Stainless Lunch Jar (3 containers) and the Mr. Bento Stainless Lunch Jar (4 containers). They state that if used properly they can keep food steamy hot (or icy cold) for 8 hours!

These are not cheap, but if you go out for your work lunch, dinner or snacks these would pay for themselves pretty quick. It never fails, if I go out to lunch, no matter how little I eat I spend at least $10. The best prices that I can find are on amazon: the Ms. or Classic Bento - $34 and the Mr. - $42.
I think that these would help to insure that we ate better throughout the day, had sufficient food choices that were bandster or low fat friendly and would look really freaking cool too! We both hate to use the office microwaves, and since she eats small meals throughout the day she feels self conscience on using the micro more than once. Anyone else have any experience with these?
I have tried the thermos brand food jars, but they only keep food warm (not hot) for a couple of hours and it's usually only 1 compartment. These Zojirushi's are travel friendly, compact and are so cute. The Japanese love their bento boxes and they know how to make them so I thought I might give these a try.

What do you do, heat the stone and put your plate on it? (sorry...dumb question, I'm sure!)
