Okay hear me out here.... Now I know we all delt with the "stuck scale", the thoughts of "Is this really working" All before a fill. Now I know that losing weight is NOT the goal at first, its healing and droping punds before the first couple of fills is Bouns! remember i have been banded for 18 months. But I have a NEW band and I am starting all over, Like a baby bandster but with the knowledge of knowing what it is like. So here is my issue. I lost 12 pounds in 2 weeks.. and now it has stoped. okay I know that is normal, but my mental twisted brain wants to be ticked off. I want to be mad at the fact I am not losing weight! I know my body is first freaking out because I'm not feeding it tons of food a day and now everything I put in my belly is being stored, but I am probably still swollen and I know Im still bloated. But why does out mind play games with us thinking WE NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!!!! and when we dont see the scale dropping we get mad, wonder what we are doing wrong.... Its it so crazy how our minds play games and how we are so desprate to lose weight that when we dont see the scale move we think we are doing something wrong, when in fact we are doing everything right! So next time your scale doesnt move.. just think that you are not alone in your frustration!!!

Amen, Sister. I hear ya!
The brian says one thing but the emotions and old expectations kick in. Let's start a list with reasons why the scale doesn't move and what we can do to combat the depression/frustration/anger/sadness/whatever (Trish...you said a lot of them):
1. Still swollen from surgery
2. Body "catching up" with weight loss
3. Body going in to "famine" mode (if too little calories are consumed)
4. Losing slowly is more effective for:
a. Keeping it off
b. Skin resiliency and remolding
5. We didn't gain the weight overnight, we aren't going to lose it overnight
6. ??????

um....i feel like i gained it overnight. so i feel i should be able to lose it that way LOL just wake up and
*POOF*
I look like Cindy Crawford.
how many of us have had that dream...that wish. Star light star bright, first star I see tonight. I wish I may, I wish I might, have my wish come true tonight! I wish that when I woke up in the morning I weighed 130 pounds.
But then I think of all those genies and how they play tricks. So now I am specific....
I wish I would wake up with the body of Cindy Crawford. Not her body...not like her body dead in my room. But that my body from the neck down is just like hers. And not exactly the same...just resembling it. But I want to keep my skin tone, and I can do without any other freaky moles her clothing might be hiding.
