Well I am wondering if I am being successful enough at losing weight. I feel good about my choice. I have a friend you got the stomach stapling done at the same time and she is WAY ahead of me on weight loss.
Is it possible for us to have to work harder I have hit 319lbs and even with a fill I am having trouble losing more. Things that I have started doing to help lose more, drinking instant breakfast for breakfast and daily walking on the treadmill, I can not do 30 minutes yet because my hips start to ache but I am up to 16 minutes.

If any one has more suggestion please let me know, oh I also started reading a book about changing the way that my mind thinks about being a thin person.

Deer congratulations on your loss so far, 46 lbs is nothing to sneeze at so be proud of yourself. Continue to make healthy food choices and continue with your walks on the threadmill, just add 1 minute every day or so and pretty soon you will be up to 30 minutes. Good luck on your weight loss journey.

Dear Deer,
Please don't compare yourself to your friend! You are doing great! It is soooo easy to gain weight, all you have to do is look at food it seems and the weight just jumps on, but it is a slow process to lose it. You are doing it in a safe manner. You did not have by pass or stapeling for a reason. You will lose it in YOUR time. You are losing it for good!
Hang in there and keep up the great work!

Everyone loses weight at different levels because of metabolism. Your's may be slower -- that's all. Don't compare yourself to anyone, just follow your own program of diet and exercise.

Also, make sure you are getting 8 hours of sleep. They've proved that sleep will deter obesity in children. Well shoot, with all the candles we burn, we need sleep, too. What a bonus it would be if getting more sleep helps us lose weight, too.
