Do you weigh your food everytime you eat? I saw on another thread about the 4-6oz of food, streaching your pouch.... well it made me think, should I be weighing everything I eat?
I was thinking to help me thourgh all of this, I want to start eating on a smaller plate.. maybe a salad plate? Maybe even using a smaller spoon and fork? Will any of this help or is it all in my head? What do you all do?

Remember: I was banded for 14 months... but with a leak it was like i wasnt banded at all. and now Im still not eating soild foods yet, but its good to get an idea.

when i use the 2, 4, or 6 oz terms, I am not refering to weaight, but content. as in 8oz is equal to a cup, and 4oz is equal to half a cup. that is a method of measurement a lot of people use, so that mihgt be what you are seeing.

I don't weigh my food but I definitely journal it on www.FitDay.com (http://www.FitDay.com). I'm not too concerned about "stretching" my pouch. My doctor says stretching your pouch isn't really the issue. The issue is having extra stomach slip up under the band, creating more pouch - aka a slipped band.

I'm keeping to approximately 1200 - 1300 calories per day, so in spreading out my food over the course of the day, I don't think the quantity of food is going to create a problem.

I agree...I don't necessarily think it's we have to measure food either. But, when I first started I did weigh and use smaller plates/utensils until I got the hang of things. But, my surgeon does not think that pouch stretching is a real risk unless you are just totally stuffing yourself until sickness. His philosophy is eat until you're satisfied and if it means you can eat 2 cups of food at a time then that's fine. I hope that helps!

I dont weigh or journal or even think about it much. For me, the less I think about food the better, I just eat what I feel like when I'm hungry. That way I dont feel deprived. When I start planning it, saying no to certain foods etc I tend to eat more. I keep saying "I'll start tomorrow".
